Hi there and hope someone can help. I can record a sample into the sts5000 and play it back from the sample editor window successfully but how do you assign a one note keygroup to play the sample back at its original pitch. So far when I have tried this it plays the sample 4 or 5 octaves too high. Understand about pithshifting modes etc but a quick walkthrough would be helpful as I cant seem to find how to set the offending parameters.
Cheers and thanks Lazaman

maybe the root key is wrong.

open the keygroup list, click the options and go to the sample section, under the key column, check the note assigned and change it.

Yeah, I sometimes get that too - defaulting to a rootkey of C -2 rather than C3. I wonder if there's a way to consistently get it to default to C3.

I know STS5000 attempts to read the filename (i.e. if you've got F3 as the last characters it'll put it on that note automatically), so it could be an artifact of that.
