Ryzen with B350 motherboard works well with PCI cards

Post by sodiumcycle »

Hello PlanetZ,

I wanted to report that (at least for me) a B350 motherboard with a Ryzen cpu (both the 1200 and 3600) has worked well with a Luna card and expansion. I've been using this steup for over a year without any problems.

(There is a second legacy PCI slot, but no testing has been done with a second card.)

That’s great news.
Safe to assume the B450/B550 will also work.

Thanks

As far as I know none of the boards with B450/B550 chipsets have any PCI slots.

Probably true since most industrial builders like Aaeon are strictly less featured Intel chips.

Mainstream builders don’t waste time with industrial/mature designs except ASRock Rack or Gigabyte, but even though they might support older and less featured chips, PCI is finally fading from stardom, especially on AMD builds.
