It's an excellent language for metal. I'll use the device if I ever work with these guys:

the midi keyboard can't be edited, it is scripted and you don't have access to the engine. you can access the keys graphics to change them but that's all. It is not available anymore, it was in early scope sdks. You need to contact someone who was able to make a midi step sequencer like Wolgang Reuter or some modular genius :-)

Hey folks, can we keep this on topic, "Weird device surfaces"? Loving this. Even considering to set it Sticky. To be fair, what other SDK or toolkit allows for such mad shapes and forms!

If I could post an animated GIF you would see the moving purple flames at both sides of the middle portion.

While the surface design is nice; the color selection, font, and slight fuzziness makes this one somewhat challenging to read.

The original vocoder that came with Pulsar 1.0 way back in the day.

To be fair, it did look pretty cool when you clicked the Matrix button and the device opened up:

A long time ago when I was a Creamware dealer this made a good little visual "pop" when I was demoing Pulsar. I also had to hope the customer didn't ask why the vocoder had to look like that, or even worse, ask to hear how this thing sounded. It was quite gritty sounding in a time when the whole audio market seemed caught up in the ancestor worship cliche of analog, warm, smooth, etc.

Maybe not too weird, but Neutron had some synths that were really stripped down to the essentials:

I've spent more time than I care to admit noodling around with those joysticks, especially with an XBox controller linked in through BC Modular or Ocean Swift's controller device.
|
That's all I've got for weird, there may be future "impossible to use" or "that's not right", but if anyone else would like to pick up the mission...
|

Thanks for playing along.

Bonus: Link to devices with which you can "weird up" your very own project window.

Developers: If your device is in here and you think it shouldn't be, please let me know and I will remove it.

The FM One from Creamware early days should be there. The surface was quite original at the time, with panels opening in every directions (a bit like the red vocoder) I don't have it on my PC. it should be somewhere on a backup cd in the cellar.

You're right, doesn't look like much until you start unfolding panels within panels. Reminds me of very very old days coding in Pascal and trying to keep track of where things were within nested arrays. (old nerd)

It's a really cool little synth too, I wonder why it dropped out of the standard included devices.

it is because it had a weird surface panel :D :D
