MODULAR IV SYNTH

Post by dawman »

Here's a really cool version of Morpheus done in Mod IV with some
new twists added. There's endless possibilities from the original patch,
and this is the same.

The preset that opens uses 200 as a Key Filter setting.
It allows a left hand octave to play Sample & Hold Modulation, while the
upper ranges are PWM Sync sound, and remain unaffected until ModWheel
engages the Constant Module to bring in additional Modulation.

The guy who made the patch was a genius IMHO, all I did was add what I
wanted that the patch lacked since it was made years ago in Modular II.
Many new modules since then.

This is an AWESOME patch. Admittedly I don’t entirely understand it but it is fun to play it the way it is. I bought the Synth School Program. I need to finally go through and watch those videos and take the course because this patch just shows how cool Scope Modular is and I want to know how to tweak it properly, so time for me to go study! Thanks for sharing!

Matrix style mixing of control signals isn't covered much @ SynthSkool, but the course is inspiring for those who seek their own Private Idaho.
Routing and Modulation are key to Scopes Modular.

Basic 8 x 8s are plenty of routing IMHO, but here's a few more to chew on.

Upon reloading the patch I noticed on mine that the little 2 channel mixer where the Master/Slave signals were sent (Just below the Multi Osc's) was disconnected to j9k's matrix input #8.
It is suppose to be connected to the Matrix as well as the Quad Fade module (input A)

Sorry 'bout that...

Your version might be right, but check anyways as I have added more to the patch for joystick controls.

I am dying to use them, but haven't got around to remaking my entire Solaris Sample Set yet.
Still using the other Vocal FX you gave me, and some Cello/Violin 16 player ensembles.
I'll let you know when I get around to finishing this.
Usually a week after Labor Day I get to chill and program stuff w/o interuptions.

Does anyone still have the old Morpheus 2 patch? I can't find a way to download it on the Z anymore.

*edit*
found it on http://www.modularsynth.co.uk/patches.php :)
