Hey guys,
Yes there is obviously a no competition clause, but there is a bit of a grace period and also small things like support for a critical question or problem from someone is ok.
We are not killing anything, the site stays and products stay and there will be sales and everything, just no new independent development + fernando will take on and even more active role engaging with costumers.

Hey Faxi! Grab the job, you are a good man. NI is one of the most successful companies in the world. AND the music market is not easy nowadays.

Yeah, that had me scratchin' my head. I was thinking more of an attack in Israel.
Why would NI hire someone new this summer? This is not something that started only a few months ago by the look of it. Looks like they put together their own version of Reason. Maybe they chose Faxinadu because he could offer them skills to work on this new ONe Native platform.
Anyhow, not a festive way to unveil your new ecosystem... But still, although I only, and rarely, use Massive from NI, all the best, Faxi!

Or, they now fired some of the inconvenient and meanwhile too expensive employees and replace w/ cheaper ones.
Normally, the newbies never know what the previous employees really got.

I wouldn't disagree with the insights to the cycles of business (replacing seniority with cost-effectiveness).
However it's also quite likely that in their reorganization they had a need in one arena that wasn't filled by existing employees, or perhaps those who could have filled that role were already ready to move on, or located in the wrong geographical area...etc. We truly can't know.
NI is such a mature company now, that none of this should come as a surprise. When they got rid of Kore..ho man, what a backlash. Now it seems they're going to head back into a similar arena, though one might presume this is a return to building everything around the same (reaktor-ish) underpinnings with a "Kontrol" layer on top.

Some fear they will make all cloud based w/ subscription.
Most likely IMO ...
Continuous income by subscription is "wet dream" of many software companies.

yes, that is the solution to selling products as cheaply as possible, below the level where the company can be sustained. consumers only care that it is cheap. they don't care if the company goes out of business. for the company, they can brag about sales, even though those sales won't keep anyone alive.
making people pay forever, in the way that M$ wants to call their OS a service rather than a product, makes things much easier. it's death buy a thousand cuts for the end user. the blood loss seems minimal at first.

for owing a Korg ms20 for several years, the behringer K2 does not sound the same . it sounds good, but simply not like a ms20....
