Help from Digital world for analog world project ...

Post by sonolive »

Hi community,

I am on the way to develop a huge all tube mixer, for a huge all tube studio : http://kerwax.org/studio/
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater
https://www.facebook.com/studiokerwax?fref=ts

Kerwax is one of the biggest all vintage gear in europ and the world, and i work for them as maintenance engineer.

Their demand is totally fool :

32 tracks mixer, 8 busses (stereo) and 12 aux sends ...

i need for this job one precise audio input transformer

Primary 1 coil 200 (600) ohms / +6 dB capable / 20Hz - 20 KHz

Secondaries :
3 (or 4) coils 200 (600) ohms / +6 dB capable / 20Hz - 20 KHz

i already got one beyerdynamic here that does the job,
it's an old ('90) very good and top quality trafo ...

it's ref is beyerdynamic TR/BV 351900029

i need 40 of them,

but i also can buy its equivalent if avaible,

maybe you, germans particularly, know where i can find some,

thx for reading and maybe help

don't know about the genuine beyer transformers, but if you need 40, it should be easy to get them custom wound. i know that Omynee Industries in Orange, CA(near where i used to work) can do this. i suspect it should be easier in Europe to find someone who would wind 40 to your spec.

THX gary and jhulk

i know there are few people that can do that and i am also looking and asking for prices here in France
but it expensive ...
lundhal has got one that may match @ 150 euros ...

beyerdynamic is is real good ratio price vs quality, and in germany you can find lots of old stocks of them ... i already bought many on eBay.de ;-)

anyway thx again for caring
