Asus Prime H310-Plus R2.0 doesn't find Scope Pro Card

Post by Kupferandi »

Hi guys,
i recently bought a new Board with the 1151 Socket, works absolutely fine with 3x 6DSP Cards, no PCI Overflow with nearly all 18 DSPs in use.
So i decided to try one of my 14 DSP Cards.
Windows doesn't reckognize it at all. No Card detected in device Manager. The Card works well in another Computer.
Tried all of the 3 PCI Slots with no other cards attached, nothing.
Updated Bios to the latest Version.
Any ideas? Maybe some power related issues or Bios settings?

Board: Asus Prime H310-Plus R2.0
CPU: Intel Core i5-9400F
OS: Windows 10

When you put the card in the slot, did you run the driver install package inside your Scope folder? I don't have a Scope Pro here, but I would guess it has a different device ID than your other cards, and the drive may not automatically bind to the card.

The only thing I can think of is the potential difference in power draw.

I tried a spare SSD with a fresh Windows 10 and no Scope Drivers installed at all, the card just doesn't show up in the device manager.
The Scope install software also didnt find the card, adding legacy hardware in the device manager with drivers from disc resulted in a blue screen with the escpope.sys error.

adding legacy hardware?

if the card works, it should work in the new computer. try clkeaning the card's contacts with either 99% pure alcohol(never less than 99% pure!) or a commercial contact cleaner.

if the motherboard works with other Scope cards, and the card in question works in another computer, then the card must work. are you sure it is truly in the slot all the way?

there is no special trick involved or available.
