no sound in wave source

Post by pollux »

Hello,

I am having a weird issue.
I have no sound coming out from the wave source. ASIO works perfectly
I use Win 10 64 bit / Scope 7 (latest build) / XITE-1

Windows can see the device, considers it enabled, I can move the volume slider but nothing comes out.

I configured it to use only one wave source, I have the wave source in my project, connected it to a mixer.

I tried re-installing the Scope software but this did not change anything either.

Has anyone already run into this issue?

Any help / troubleshooting steps / clue will be greatly appreciated.

thank you!!

Most likely a Win10 security update messing with you
Try
Click on search
Type in Services and open the app
Look for: Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
Right click, select Restart
Select yes to restart Windows Audio as well.

If that doesn't work then try going into your Windows audio settings and testing each Scope related device listed.(if there are more than 1)

Are you using the Scope 24 Bit Wave source? That one has been working fine for me.

sometimes Windows considers the 2nd wave source to be the first...

Hi,

I finally managed to get it working :)

I defined the preferred bit depth to 24 bit and number of devices to 1 in the settings page of the device, then loaded the 24 bit wave source in the scope project, restarted the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder and voila

Thank you very much for your help! you set me in the right track.
