Scope at startup is not running!

Post by bosone »

I have just installed win10 with socpe 7 as well.
I have setup my startup project and activated it in the "scope setting" tab.
i have also added scope to the "start up folder" in windows 10:

C:\Users\my account\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

but SFP is not showing up at startup, so i have no audio and i have to manually start scope program to get it working...

any idea!??

moreover, how can i get scope start as icon/minimized not as a full screen?

thanks!!!

If I recall correctly it's not advised to run Scope as a startup program, but manually after startup has completed. It's just a few clicks away...:)

... but very annoying since it's needed also to run the basic windows audio!
really there is no workaround?
on win7 it worked!

I think i have solved using startup delayer:

https://www.r2.com.au/page/products/sho ... p-delayer/

it delays the startup of the programs, i have used it in the past to create a midi-routing with midiox and scope because scope needed to run before midiox could handle the midi ports (too complicated to be described!!)

now i just have to start SFP minimized and not in full window. the corresponding win10 options do not work!

easier to just start it with a single click, imo.

Scope 5, Windows 10 64bit Home - startup works fine, this computer is more for everyday use, multimedia, youtube, music listening, games...
Scope 7, Windows 10 64bit Pro - startup won't run application (i have tried several options) so i'm using single click, but it's ok, since Scope 7 computer is just for music production.

I have solved also using a .bat file in the startup folder.

just open the notepad and write (change to your SFP location!)

"H:\SFP 7.0\App\Bin\scope.exe" -s

saving it as, e.g. scope.bat instead of scope.txt
then place it in the automatic startup folder of windows (win key+r, then type shell:startup)

but, still, I'm having troubles in start scope minimized.

the "-s" option seems not to work everytime and i don't understand why...

Nope, also doesn't worked.
Probably is also something other, cause, i have those windows installed quite some time now, so i'm not sure what are the
differences between scope 5 win 10 home and scope 7 win 10 pro.

also manually adding the key

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

"Scope"="\"H:\\SFP 7.0\\App\\Bin\\Scope.exe\" -s"

to the win10 registry seems to work.
