It has taken me many months to solve this problem and if I make cubase run in Windows 8 compatibilty mode
it has finally solved the problem !
Why is this ?
and are there any disadvantages of running in Windows 8 compatibilty mode ?
Any info appreciated

Re: Cubase 9.5 to 10 Scope modules not found unable to open Drivers
there is no Scope 6.
you are using win10? the driver for v5.1 isn't really a win10 driver.
no, there's no real disadvantage to using win8 compatibility mode. don't worry.
the biggest issue will be that you will need to reinstall the v5.1 Scope driver when win10 updates.

Thanks Gary it's win 10 v1803 & v5.1
So are you saying that if I reinstall the v5.1 Scope driver now the problem will go away ?

is there a problem?
no, i mean that when win10 updates and gets rid of the driver, you will need to reinstall it.
win8 compatibility is fine. the v5.1 driver won't work in win10, otherwise.

Re: Cubase 9.5 to 10 Scope modules not found unable to open Drivers
Yes there is...
Right just so if someone else needs the solution -
When you make cubase run in Windows 8 compatibilty mode for Cubase 9.5 - 10.1 cubase will lose it's license and refuse to run.
So the solution is to run the eLicenser Control Center first and keep it open and then make cubase run in Windows 8 compatibilty mode for Cubase 9.5 - 10.1 then Cubase will see the licenses and open.
This is what took me so long to figure it out - it was a real pain to figure this all out though.
The problem has only existed since upgrading to Cubase 9.5 - 10.1 and all versions previous to this worked fine without this complicated workaround - and I have never in 2 years of upgrading from W7 to running windows 10 needed to reinstall the v5.1 Scope driver when win10 updates to a new version or make cubase run in Windows 8 compatibilty mode for Cubase previous to v9.5 !
Does the problem still exist in Scope 7 ? or is it fixed ?

Re: Cubase 9.5 to 10 Scope modules not found unable to open Drivers
v7 has a signed driver, so no.
v5.1 is not meant to work in win10, although it does... win10 and win7 are NOT the same. that is the reason for compatibility mode.
anyway, you have already indicated that you have it working in compatibility mode, so, no problem.

Ok thanks for the clarification -
I just thought I'd post it here to help others who have not been able to upgrade cubase since 9.3 version on windows 10.
