Hi there.

I had a problem installing Scope 7 (PCI) in windows 7 x64. Having been solved , I would like to let know other possible users how to solve it.

I had problems installing the windows 7 update kb 3033929.

According to Scope 7 installation instructions, this windows update has to be installed previously to the Scope 7 installation. (and of course it is necessary, otherwise, Scope installs but doesn´t work)

Apparently, there are a lot of windows user having troubles to install this update.

In my case, I had an infinite loop, the kb 3033929 installations started but never ended.

After reading A LOT of forums and trying a lot of different solutions, eventually, something very simple worked fine to me.

It was doing a clean boot in windows 7.

See here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... in-windows

After doing the clean boot the kb 3033929 update installed without a problem. After rebooting the system the Scope 7 was installed ok.

An issue occurred, anyway. After installing this kb update I needed to re-install the ilok drivers (So I suppose that the infinite loop problem was caused by the ilok driver)

Please, be aware of this. This is a very simple solution.

After some days playing with Scope 7...it rocks¡¡¡

Long life to Scope¡¡¡

If the iLok driver is causing the problem and it needs to be reinstalled after the KB install anyway is it possible to uninstall the iLok driver before installing the required KB and then reinstalling it afterwards? Meaning you don't have to go through the clean boit process?
