i don't have any information about that, but i'm sure it will still be a virtual ADAT.

garyb wrote: Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:37 am if you get it to work, great. HOWEVER, VDAT is almost 20 years old. it was never intended to work in 64bit windows, because 64bit windows was not even something that existed back then. if you use ANY version of VDAT in 64bit, you will have problems.
Thanks for info Gary. I didn't know that. I use it all the time instead of consolidating in the DAW. I've always felt it gives me what I hear and doesn't interfere with the original audio.

Will it be fixed BTW?
It’s exactly why I liked VDAT.
Live you can trigger audio segues and FX, etc.
But once you convert it to mp3/4 the magic is lost.

I had people complimenting the vocalists, only 2, but triggered their own harmonies and sounded like 4 well produced singers.
I prefer hardware for that these days, but would be nice to see if it’s been polished up even more.

So I’m not imagining that the quality of Vdat has something!!

MP3s......forget about it. Has to be at least 16 bit.

It’s similar to NOT using Zebra2 FX and routing them into Scope, or even Pedals like Im using.
Once you detach VDAT from the project window or convert, it’s just another audio file.
If people notice these subtleties I believe they have the ear it takes to create great mixes.

How can I record my mix from my so beloved STM2448 console when VDAT isn't working?

After so many years I started recording again in a homestudio environment whith Logic Pro X (mac) as tape recorder and Scope 7 (win10) as main desk, But the output from the STM2448 is not recordable because my VDAT is crashing my win10 pc.
How can I record my output from my STM2448. Any ideas?

Correct, route to an ASIO input.
