Re: SC SL9000 issue
Sometimes scope saves shit, then it cant be reloaded. I make versions when I make changes, if something goes wrong I can reload.

Re: SC SL9000 issue
does it work if you load it in a new project?
Re: SC SL9000 issue
I will try this tonight
thanks for the answer
If for you it works I will find how

Re: SC SL9000 issue
There's also a nice way to save settings for recall in a project that seems to help me.
It works on MIDI Channel 1 and can save snapshots/presets that are really helpful.
Those who can't get Solo/Mute functions the way they like on the STM mixers can save presets using this. Same with AUXs, Insert FX, etc.

Re: SC SL9000 issue
Same thing is happening to me also ...
I am using it in a project with two 1632 mixers ...
On both mixers the plug loades with a peak in the midrange and the EQ is not responsive ...
Also, I cant load any saved presets (when loading a fresh new instance - which eqs i CAN control) ....
What I've found out so far is that if I place the Sl9000 in the project as a device outside the mixer - the project loads with the saved setting and everything works - but i still cant seem to load presets (including the factory "default" setting ....)
Havent tested this on other mixers yet ....
(Its not a matter of a corrupted project file ....)
Any thoughts/tips ?

Re: SC SL9000 issue
I guess that's only if I buy it ... Right ?
How is it compared to DAS's SL9000 ?

Re: SC SL9000 issue
Way more instances on XITE - needs Scope 5.x. Ask S|C for a demo if you want to try without buy. Compared to SC version ? A better filter algo.
On XITE-1D I loaded 32 of them into a DAS mixer - as inserts.

Re: SC SL9000 issue
Well ... I am running old PCIs - so thats not my main consideration ....
The C350 seems amazing - but it is not at the top of my purchase list ... (Saving up for their compressors .... not to mention the ADERN stuff ....)
Plus - I am still at the Scope-noob stage where I am excited about and loving the regular SL9000 - and the other 5.1 plugs ...
But I am drooling over some of the plugs/synths (&FLEXOR) out there ... Crossing my fingers for some sort of sale soon ...

Re: SC SL9000 issue
Is it better sonically or just in regards to Xite compatibility/integration ?
(Will I get the DSP benifits on PCI cards ?)

Re: SC SL9000 issue
Sonically is subjective. But to my ears, the set of devices that use the DAS custom filter algo (DASCOEFF) sound better than devices based on standard Scope filter atoms - on both PCI and XITE.
Haven't tested C350L instance count on PCI.

Re: SC SL9000 issue
Do the DAS SL9000 (v1 or v2) have that algorithm ?
(I couldnt find an in depth description on the web / SC / Hitfoundry)
(And since we already sortof hijacked this thread - do you know what is the technical difference between v1 and v2 ?)
Thanks

Re: SC SL9000 issue
the SC SL9000 was made by DAS. that's my understanding anyway.
Re: SC SL9000 issue
It's a long time ago since I had these conversations with Eric from DAS so anything I say stands to be corrected - but from memory - the SC SL9000 was made before DAS invented their own Filter algorithm. When DAS built the improved filter code they then used it to make C350, MasterIT and Legend EQ. This is why C350 sells for a price and is considered an upgrade from the SL9000. This algo was also requested by Brainworx when DAS were doing the BX Digital port (but not used) so I guess Brainworx also liked it.
After XITE-1D came out I tested all DAS plugs that I had on it - as DAS didn't have the D version - anyway during that time Eric found a way to optimize C350 and kindly released it as the C350L as a free upgrade (for C350 owners) and came in a new gold colour scheme and calibration tweaks on some of the parameter knobs.
That's all I know or remember - for accuracy or more detail you would need to check with DAS.
They did however put considerable effort into providing - free- a few XITE freebies, optimizations and advice for customers transitions to the XITE platform.
