hello.
today i stayed awake allnight long, trying to make my system as stable as it can be. i stuck with latency.
when i have scope+nuendo+reason or fruity loops, i have to set the latency very high.
and only then i can avoid but not always the crackles that are heard when i switch the programs from the taskbar. nuendo when minimized seems to be very unstable with crackles. during recording a little search for a tool in a folder for ex. might cause crackles that are recorded.
can i make it completely clean from crackles?
it makes me very tired trying to avoid certain moves that cause crackles.
why? is it because i need a dual proccessor system? one processor to record and the other to use for preparing the next move?
is it necessary to do one by one the steps of making a song?
pci latency tool 2.3 didn't help, are there some fix values that i should choose?
this problem exists with another one,
the stucking midi keys of creamware instruments and synths. the same problems since last year with asus p4c800e.
curent system:
abit ic7g
prescott 3.0
2g ram jetram(maybe this is not good)
xp pro sp1
sata raptors 10000 34 in raid0
scope pro+pulsar 2
acpi
performance tweeks all made. registry tweeks.
set for audio generally(i think).
disabled usb, ieee, and generally good irq situation (as i can do so far).
:???:

agp. asus ax800pro.
i use two lcd monitors.
drivers: the ati version on the cdrom of the card.
i have also noticed that when i turn off accelaration, crackles appear worse.
the system is more quiet with full accelaration and 32bit. "but not perfect".
have you got any idea?
thank you!

That's normal, as acceleration means that resources of agp card are used instead of system's, you need it. I don't know your card, but one thing for wich I always used matrox is that you can disable bus mastering in the video card settings and that is a must for it.
Most of the cards are made for gamers, so they are conceived to have prominence in the system. You must see how to disable all the useless stuff like 3d etc...or change agp card, but I really don't know your card...

the king had 3 periods.
1. 50's. the first idol(biggest) to create hysteria
2. movie period. just fun situation with very good moments.
3. 70's period starting from the first unplug in history "nbc tv special 68" till the vegas times through the end 1977.
all based on great voice!, preforming, style, historic unparalled pioneer giving inspiration to the most important artists that followed, beatles etc...
every song that was sung from him was the best version.

sinatra has this gift as well.
these two have recorded over 1000 songs each.

so i am gonna try to update ati drivers.
