Re: Sonar 7 performance experiences
There are at least a half a dozen guys who use Scope on that forum. Krizrox, who also posts here, is one of them. Not much effort to ask. I use ASIO drivers, but 16 bit, so I can't tell you much. I used WDM for years, worked fine as well. Just rememeber that if you change driver's you have to go in ...

Re: Sonar 7 performance experiences
I've recently switched to Sonar and while it works fine on my dualcore laptop on my Scope system it seems to choke when playing back audio quite easily. Even the basic demo project ("Room for Clarity") chokes it and shuts down the audio engine - this is on a P4 3.6 ghz so it's no slouch. ...

Re: Sonar 7 performance experiences

Very frustrating experience actually. My maini motivation wether I'd like to admit it or not has to be the customer service aspect or ...

I am not familiar with the BX. You record each mic to a separate channel...so you only have to record 2 channels. After recording, copy the figure eight mic's track to another channel, then flip the phase on that channel. Now pan the 2 figure eight channels hard left and right, while leaving the car...

yes, that's correct. when you do this, the middle data is phase cancelled on the figure 8 mic, leaving a track with the middle data and a stereo track with side data...... The M minus S (let's say it's the left channel) data will have the frequencies that are common to the side and mid cancel each ...

Hey Gary! I always respect your knowledge and opinions, but I feel compelled to make some slight corrections regarding your explanation of the M/S process. It is not really correct ot say that the process involves taking out the M signal out of the S mic. What we have is one track that is the M mic ...
