Re: alcohol cleaners for scope cards??
I recently cleaned my 3 cards (esp the PCI and STDM contacts) with white spirit on a cotton stick. I had been having lots of troubles with the STDM connection not being recognised. Seems to work like a charm again now

Re: SCOPE 5.1
I'm willing to support it because of my huge investment but the problem is the new reverbs I agree are an incentive but you really need to own the xite to take advantage of them and do everything else you might want to do with the mixer and synthesizers. I sense from the level of activity on this f...

Re: Nails in the Coffin
Anyone who actually wants Cap & Trade obviously doesn't own their own property, or buy their own insurance or even groceries for that matter. It makes no sense to vote to raise your own taxes, or de value your own property. that's the true american spirit! Fuck the environment, as long as your ...

new tech-house track: Sputnikk - Let It Go
Hey, Christmas holiday enabled me to finish a piece of music for a change :) The result can be heard here: http://www.sputnikk.nl/audio/Sputnikk-Let_It_Go.mp3 It's nice mellow and melodic tech-house track, with a kind of Gui Boratto-Beautiful Life-vibe with a hint of Underworld... Hope you like it! ...

ProTone in Scope 5 won't load
Has anyone managed to get ProTone working in v5? I found the new v5 proTone.dev file on the SC ftp server, so I copied that into my devices folder. When I try to load it, it gives me the registration window as it should, I load my keyfile and it says "import succeed" but then nothing happe...

Re: It appears Universal Audio could not do it.
It's rather obvious that computers will continue to advance. What we need is software development more than anything. Even if a VST takes a lot of CPU, you can easily turn it into an audio track and unload it. There is no more need for DSP powered synthesizers. UAD and SC have the talent to make gr...

What windows version?
Have you checked the basic stuff like getting the latest driver updates for all your hardware, reinstalling scope, possibly reinstalling windows?

Re: Woohoo. New versions
I was hoping to switch over to Windows 7/64 around now, before Christmas break. But given that they released this rather weak update last week, I'm guessing there will be no x64 version for a while. Probably not until next year sometime. It's bad enough that Scope is the only software that is keepi...

Re: Windows 7 and Scope 5 is a really wonderfull Experience
you get both 32 and 64 bits versions in the box. I just moved to Win 7 this weekend and so far it's been very good. Could be the easiest windows install I've ever done, everything seemed to work from the get go. Scope drivers installed w/o problems. And if you use this style/theme it looks absolutel...

Re: Calling All DJ's
It's probably best to have him start out on the classic setup of 2 SL's and a mixer. This is probably also the cheapest option. Later he can always move up to Serato/Traktor/Ableton. I do a bit of dj-ing with Ableton myself and it works quite well. I mostly build mixes at home with it but I've also ...
