Re: Possible faulty A16U
Any cheap 12v, AC, supply with at least 1.5A will work. They are simply a transformer, no electronics, so really not much noise to be found in them. There is no polarity to the power supply! It just needs the correct size "barrel" connector, which I'm unsure of.

Re: Foot Switches/Controllers
We do modules in scope...yeah it’s not bad ;). It does have a level of complexity necessary for doing the many cool things it can do. Tilt for expression combined with rotation (think turning a knob with your foot) is doubley powerful, when you add a little reverb/delay input on the twist, while doi...

Re: Foot Switches/Controllers
I had an FCB1010 for a long time, and replaced it with this Keith McMillan SoftStep https://www.keithmcmillen.com/products/softstep/ Pros: Reliable, incredibly flexible (8 degrees of freedom PER pad...on/off, tap, pressure, tilt in 4 directions, rotate left right), usb, but can work stand-alone with...

Re: Dynatube bass bundle vs line6 basspod.
My bass is a Steinberg Synapse 5-steing, and takes 2x 9volt batteries. It's output can be very hot. I can over drive the XITE when playing hard. I'd say your bass is active. If the pickup isn't directly wired to the output (and then through the long cable to your XITE input), but instead has a small...

Re: Dynatube bass bundle vs line6 basspod.
My active bass just didn't jive well with getting a decent sound when plugged direct to the XITE. There wasn't anything wrong with it, but putting the sansamp really brought dynamics to life. You can use the bass pod into both XITE front inputs, then re-amp in scope if needed.

Re: Hacked Korg WaveState
Think I'll keep mine intact. Btw 1.03 firmware is on the support site for the wavestate. Takes a min for anything other than the manuals to show up on the webpage for me, but walked away and came back and a long list of downloads. The link to the open source repo for the synth on github shows a lot...

Re: Xite-1 BNC Scope 7
So nitri has it working with XITE as master, yayajohn has XITE working as slave.
Perhaps a new project file needs to be created once the XITE changes BNC direction? Not sure, just hazarding a guess.

I use z-link also, which doesn’t use word clock since it’s embedded in the data stream, but that works flawlessly for me.

Re: Xite-1 BNC Scope 7
If you want XITE to be the master....It will take a dive in the forums or a simple email to sonic core help to get the full answer, but there are two files in the scope system for the word clock, and you might need to ask them for file #2. By default, I think the slave is enabled. For master mode, y...

Re: Could this be an OmniSphere slayer ?
It certainly seems like fun. Although I do get a chuckle when in the interview he says "I always like a synth to have its own distinct sound, like as soon as you play it it's recognizable", and the very next thing out of his mouth is "it makes any sound possible".

Re: Dynatube bass bundle vs line6 basspod.
I have the Dynatube bass bundle, Celmo's Bass Amp Modeler, and a Zoom B3 pedal. Dynatube is a clean sound, but us just the 2 amps and 2 cabinets. I really like the Simms-Watts model. Most people over look the bass-amp interaction (physical connection) as part of the time, and having a DI into the Dyn...

Ken - thanks for returning to these forums with comical and corny commercials, sketches of sound delight, and stories of confronting compositions. When things get overly technical around here, you have always kept the focus on music. Thanks! Best of wishes and all success to you!!

Re: racktion eNews - Waveform to the Power of Pi
Anybody working with Traktion? How does it compare to (anything else)? I've been using Ableton for the last 10 years, but it has very few features (comparatively) for editing and MIDI, and with a PI based unit, I can have a very portable system for jam sessions, or for the kids to play with.

The Ableton Suite sampler is similar, in that it has that same feel of a synthesizer with sample oscillators. And a good collection of sample variety (both useable and fx).

Re: High ACPI.SYS DPC latency ?
I used to use a Lenovo laptop, and had some similar issues. Mine stemmed from the power management of the laptop. The laptop scales back the processor power/frequency when it's not needed, automatically. To verify this is it, install CPU-Z, and then take note of each processor's frequency. They proba...

Re: Matrix Mixer
Parallel compression is exactly what I was thinking, it's perfect. The M-S on sends is a really great idea! Two other features (or requests?) I've seen that make a mixer "musical" is to allow B2 to mix in from B1, B3 to also mix in B2, etc, so chains of effects can be built, like delay int...
