Only just got around to putting some stuff in my profile, so now I'm openly stiff upper lipped etc.! I have to admit that I got a bit of a bargain with my SRB, which I'm using with a Luna II. I bought it from ttoz, who has recently advertised a load of devices in the Pulsar Purchasing section. It co...

Hi Subhuman,

I'm intrigued by your point about XTC software. I phoned Creamware support a few weeks back soon after purchasing a Pulsar II SRB (secondhand) and was told that no software was included with it.

Cheers,
Will

Sorry to those who have read this query before in the STS Talk section, but I thought it was relevant to ask here: Has anyone on this forum used any of Awave's development components for C++ or VB? These look like they'd be really useful for this sort of task. I wanted to write a quick and simple to...

I'm afraid I'm going to have to go along with Kensuguro on this one! Both the Dance Project tracks you've posted are very commercial and also very close to being releasable. There's a lot worse out there that's making money on the Euro-house scene.

I'm impressed by this one too (I've just reviewed the Dance Project II track). I'd say that the only criticism I have is that maybe the middle section is too interesting. This isn't really a criticism of this tune, it's just unusual for one in this style to have extended variation. You might find th...

While this isn't my favourite style of music either, it is very well made and has a catchy tune (which is essential!) I've been impressed by several of your tunes so far. I have a couple of minor style suggestions (and they really are minor!). The snare drum could benefit from being a little bit thi...

I bought a Pulsar II SRB to add to my Luna hardware. I'm still using Luna software, as there was no software attached to the SRB card. I think that if you buy an XTC, you'll be able to use the DSPs under XTC or Luna software and when v3.1 comes out you should be able to use the full Pulsar software ...

I'm currently getting on quite well with DubSub 2 for making Drum and Bass. You can get a demo from http://www.track0.com/wavelength. The sound is pretty dirty. There's another thread somewhere on this topic. Here it is: http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=956&forum=5. Cheers, Will...

Hi there,

Is this device v3 only? I'd really like to try it out, but I'm only on Luna 2.5 at the moment and it doesn't seem to load.

Thanks,
Will

I've got KRK K-Roks, which I'm very pleased with. They're particularly good for clear bass response. I found that a lot of other monitor speakers I tried didn't cover enough range. Although I'm into bass-heavy music, which you might not be!

I think you need VST System Link when it comes out for Cubase. Check out Steinberg's site for details.

If you have a look at other posts both here and on Creamware's forum, you'll see that Sound Card Dest and Source modules are quite unpopular! I tried to get them to work with a Yamaha DS2416 for a while and ended up giving up several months later and I'm going to sell the Yamaha!

In the Luna II manual, in the section called 'Integrating Luna and Your Recording Software' (pages 16-29), there is a pretty well written description of how to set up Cubase and Luna to work together. I think this is quite a good place to start. I think that there are some posts about using Sonar wi...

They're not the only ones! I've been a Jungle/Drum and Bass fan for a long time now. I've just invested in a Pulsar SRB to go with my Luna II and hope to be uploading some Drum and Bass madness very soon as I get to know my DSPs better! Really impressed by your tune. Noticed that krizrox mentioned SPL Attacker in his message. What's the difference between that and the Transient Designer. I'm quite interested in buying one of these, but there's not much info about them and CW's 60 minutes demo is going to have to be carefully planned for!!

Hi King Blue,

Cheers for this utility (if you're still about on the site!) I was interested to know what tools you used to write this, as I would like to write something similar, but which adds auditioning and file copying.

Another thought, going slightly off topic! Has anyone on this forum used any of Awave's development components for C++ or VB? These look like they'd be really useful for this sort of task. Cheers Subhuman. I'm still not sure I understand how it would be possible to 'perform' using this sort of scale though on a keyboard.
