Re: Some SDK docs to share

Hi all, Thanks to those of you that have reached out via PM about helping to recover these sites. I've been totally swamped in the last little while, since I took over leading software engineering at SoundCloud at the start of the year. Last week I at last got around to digging out the backups, only...

Re: Some SDK docs to share

My web hosting provider deleted my accounts because of a billing issue, but I didn't get the emails to that effect, only the one saying the accounts were deleted. This means the SDK Wiki and scopesync.co.uk are offline for now. I do have backups for both, but given that I've not had time to continue...

Damn, wish I'd seen this before. I was at FEZ with the kids a month or so back. Not very far from where we live.

I dropped an email to Simon, but I've not heard from him in a while. I'll let you know if I hear back.

Re: Feature Request - Inline Soundcloud Widgets

Sorry, I realized that you already tried that. The platform lead for Web at soundcloud is in my team, so I could ask him how this is supposed to work next week if you're still stuck. Let me know if you have extra info I can share

Re: BCM.wikispaces | CLOSING-2018 :(

Hi all, Sorry, I've been super busy this year and I failed to get this done properly in time. It's here, but it's a mess: https://bcmodular.mywikis.net/wiki/Special:AllPages - no structure ported across, ugly (standard MediaWiki) skin and lots of the includes didn't work properly, so the contents do...

Re: CMS-1

Hi Valis, I've added MacOS plugins (AU, VST + VST3) to the latest release here: https://github.com/bcmodular/cwmodular/releases/tag/cwmodular-v0.1.0.62 . Only very rudimentary testing performed (i.e. the AU and VST versions load in Ableton Live), so I'll be interested to hear how you get on with it....

Re: Creating audio routing module.

Frustratingly, plenty of UI changes happened since 4.0, both in 5.1 and in 7.0. Lots of guessing as to how to get stuff done and some things just aren't possible (e.g. copying bitmaps between modular pads consistently)

Which popups? We didn't change anything about that in the last few releases.

Re: CMS-1

Ahh, yeah ok I see. Sorry about the fuzz :) No fuss! It didn't work this way until we made the release yesterday! Now you can run the CMS-1 plugin in a chain after External Instrument in Ableton, so you can have a single channel to handle both the MIDI to Scope and control the CMS-1 Scope device. S...

Re: CMS-1

But, I have to load the VST-plugin in an audio channel, and then I need to send midi motes from a midi channel, so that makes the midi notes seperate from the parameter-control. Is this by design or the only way to do it? I released a new version last night that might help with this. It now behaves...

Re: CMS-1

P.S. I'll let Roy respond re. UI, but I have some ideas on making it even easier to use the matrix, which are on the to-do list. Please feel free to suggest any more though, so I can think about them when I get to it. I was planning to make the cross-hairs snap to the grid rather than be free-form a...

Re: CMS-1

I like that both UI's stay synced now which I guess means the snapshot feature is sort of obsolete now maybe? I suspect there are some scenarios in which snapshot could be relevant, but until people start using it we won't know really how much. I'd definitely be interested to know how people get on...

Just to save confusion, Roy means the CMS-1 VST plugin, not the ScopeSync one.

Re midi on the same channel, I'll have a look into it. It should be possible

Re: CMS-1

Anyone tried out controlling the synth from the VST plugin yet?

I can actually create VST and AU versions for Mac OSX too, if anyone would be able to benefit from that. For now, I'd been treating that as a low priority, as I wasn't sure if anyone would use.

Re: CMS-1

It should have been the last page of the installer that directed you to download that, so let me know if that didn't happen.
