they have a thing called RT player: it's a standalone ASIO in/out app that can load Vst instruments and plugins.
too bad they don't sell it alone, but give away free with some plugins for 200$

i use cakewalk. i tried every synth i have, but i get no answer when i send a program change. very very very very strange.
BTW: i sent also a mail to CW asking for help, but they didn't anwser yet

i tried both: the pulsar midi in (physical one) to the synth for trying to change with the masterkeyboard, and the midi source(software one) when i tried to change the bank from the sequencer.
i have pulsar ver. 2.04 is there some bug? i mailed alo to CW, and i'm waiting the answer!

i did!!
the very strange thing is that, if i open the modular, i see in the MIDI window (the one that show the incoming messages): PRGR CHANGE !!!!
so the message arrives, but it not interpreted!!!

Excuse me, but i cannot change the program in the pulsar synth.... i open the preset list, give a number to a patch and then, when i try to recall it by a program change (form my external keyboard or by cakewalk), nothing happens. i also see the midi data coming on the light of the device, but, agai...

is there a way to change the preset used in a pulsar synth from a sequencer (i use cakewalk)? i tried to give a number to the preset and to send a "patch change message" in the synth channel, but it didn't work

i have the same problem, but i think i will buy something only in the far future...
i think i'll opt for a AD/DA converter: i found a cheap one in the Fostex VC8 (i think it should cost 300$) it's 20 bit, and it has 8 in and 8 out.
a mixer is too expansive 4 me (far more than 1000$)

why not a "beep" "crackle" or "no sound" every 40 - 60 seconds? or the device must be reloaded after, say 4 or 5 minutes

the test was OK!
i used STS3000 with 32 voices of poliphony (8 instruments at once), timeworks ezverb (the only onw commercial plugs i have) and a bigmixer.
