It happened to me (in a computer without CW hardware) after trying to install winamp5 : after that, no wave driver was recognized. So go, in system properties, desisntall the drivers and reinstall them again. It should work fine a...

ok thanks for the explanations. For one or two years now, I often have to sub-optimasterise a drum group (kick+hats+snare) to give a "bouncy" feeling (but to undo, it is quite difficult, so it stays "live" until the last moment). kick&bass can be good, but tricky as to excess...

same as hubird. The Holy Grail indeed. I think lighter mixes can last longer in time. I mean over the weeks, monthes, years.... may be it helps the tracks go more easily through fashions, don't know (i think of modern hifi system with the unavoidable maga-sub-bass-woffer etc etc)... <font size=-1>[ ...

I think it is ok too. The drums can be considered as too powerful (the snares) but in the same time it helps the "violence" i can feel in this track. I think the toms in the break around 1mn10 could need some work (they sound very raw or GM), but i liked all other sounds. May be the genera...

( and echo filters are strictly musical  (or "artistic").

Nice idea to use a crossover. I will have a look at the wave and adern plugs too.

hehe, good attitude  thanks yes tri-octaver is more for guitarists than a general purpose harmonizer (it works great on voices though  What do I think ? I think it is a good idea. The interest of such a device (harmo) would be to include references to chords, harmonies (harmony is when...

interesting reading. thanks. Myself I do it the same way, lowcut as first effect (in vst chain in general) and very often there are 2-3 eqs per bass channels (bass, kicks mainly) with bass peaks between 60 and 100 in general. For snare I also mix them with a peak in the mid-bass freq to make it more...

What do you use to remove frequencies below 30hz on a master setup ? Do you simply take care of eq on every indicidual channels, or is there a device t...

a good distortion for tube sim cannot be "cheap" in dsp would take between 8 to 16 times more ressources than any CW distortion (for a simple conception).

Have you tried Tri-Octaver. It is certainly very limited but works fine for what it does. Not a retuner though, and doesn't include Tune Tables, just a constant multi pitch shifter. For purely harmonizing it is pretty fine.
