Re: NAMM this January

??? i use Scope cards as soundcards, even if they are not what Wndows calls "soundcards". Yes it´s possible and I did too w/ XITE-1 and Scope PCI,- w/ the little disadvantage there´s no way to change buffer settings on the fly. And w/ forthcoming of Win10 and 11 as also a number of 3rd pa...

Re: NAMM this January

Apologies - my bad - I thought this was the Off Topic forum. Yes, it is ! So feel free posting what you want. It was just only my comment because I have the impression there are always people trying to tell us how Scope hardware should be,- ignoring it was never designed to be a "audio interfa...

Re: NAMM this January

But I forgot about Arturia - they slipped this little ripper under the radar. Released at AES yesterday : Reimagined Audio & MIDI Control. Computer: Optional https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oqbr4cPmvJU So, what´s new and/or "game changing" w/ this audio/MIDI interface ? There are &quo...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

Theres no indication "Joanna" will be a Sharc DSP device or a VST wrapper, or indeed anything other than a concept. I didn´t say "Joanna" will be a Sharc DSP device or a VST wrapper. In only said XTC might or will be a separate application as it was announced when SCOPE v7 was r...

Yes !
My Yamaha QX-1 is still one of the tightest machines ever built.
The Akai MPC60 and MPC60mkII were even better w/ more tracks and features.

Re: CUBASE MIDI WIDE SPREED PROBLEM {SOLVED} !!!!!!!!!

If just ONE of you would tell me it solved its Cubase timing problems through this post, I would be very happy for a whole year! :) You obviously aren´t willing to understand these MIDI timing problems are WINDOWS typical. You´ll get rid of in a minute once you use Mac and Logic (and/or ATARI,- jus...

Re: CUBASE MIDI WIDE SPREED PROBLEM {SOLVED} !!!!!!!!!

It‘s only bizarre at 1st glance... ;) Cubase collects incoming Midi events and adds a momentary timpstamp to each in the buffer. This seems to be a leftover from "LTB" (linear time base) technology Steini developed to use w/ the ancient Midex-8 MIDI interface, which acted (or should act) ...

Re: Out of nostalgia question JBridge usage

https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/solving-midi-timing-problems We don´t have 2007 anymore and I don´t recognize much (if not any) jittery timing when playing softsynths in realtime w/ p.ex. Reaper as the host,- or Tone2 NanoHost64, Plogue Bidule abd whatelse. I use USB MIDI IN via controller ...

Not all UAD plugins use the DSPs.
In opposite to most, if not all, of their FX plugins,- their Minimoog emulation doesn´t,- it´s native.

MIDI in Cubase goes a looooong way, it is amazing, I'm afraid it is the best in the marked. The MIDI Remote Mapping Assistant, for instance, it is a dream come true. I knew almost everyone of the "MIDI pioneer times" Steinberg crew as also founders of C-Lab/Emagic in person. Both companie...

Re: USB Midi Keyboard in Scope

Keep in mind that the way you route is also related to your workflow, if you are interested, and only recording the audio and are a good player, routing directly into scope would make sense. If, however, you want to record the midi and the audio, or only the midi, you would want to route your USB m...

Re: USB Midi Keyboard in Scope

I´ll attach a "Ocean Swift Synthesis" device, Faxi posted long time ago somewhere here ... It allows routing a USB Controller keyboard directly into SCOPE 64Bit without launching any VST host or such. It works for me on my Win7 Pro SP1 Z97 DAW machine w/ XITE-1 and SCOPE v7.0 x64. Might wo...

I know Bud - it seems absurd. I'm no expert but I have done a lot of this over the years. I've never had such difficulty connecting to the internet. I'll track it down. I know the router and cables are good as it connects perfectly when I use the Win 10 system disk. B.t.w.,- I´m using the same proc...
