Re: SDK people:Question about digital ITB delays
I'm talking about digital itb. Plugin. The PCM 42 has been modeled as a vst plugin :) So I'm talking digitally stored. What does "time discrete" mean? And I'm not talking about bbd. To me that is an analog delay controlled by a digital clock. (correct me if I'm wrong) feel free to explain...
Re: scam?
All other things aside, that email wasn't written by an American. The language sounds like a European speaking english. Maybe French or Italian (my experience working for a european company...dropped "a" here and there, "Italy Customers", and other things an American wouldn't phr...

Re: SDK people:Question about digital ITB delays
There are different *TYPES* of delays though, and that will effect sound, just in the delay, not including filters or A/D/A. The basic delay we think of runs on the same sample rate as the rest of the system. If you want a longer delay, you add more memory to the length of the delay. This is the &qu...

Re: MIDI Play/Stop/Cont/Reset in SCOPE
MIDI Song Position Pointer 0xF2 0xD1 0xD2 For start of song/pattern, D1 = 0x00, D2 = 0x00. Song Position Pointer is like the Program Counter in a CPU. And sending this message is like issuing a JUMP to the CPU. D1 and D2 form a 14bit number, just like a pitch wheel message. Together they indicate wh...

Re: MIDI Play/Stop/Cont/Reset in SCOPE
I will give these a go! Thanks, thanks, and more thanks! I realized what I've been calling "reset" is actually Song Position Pointer (along with 14bits of position = 0). I work with 2 other musicians, and we've developed a style that is more DJ like...we don't stop the music: we take turns...

MIDI Play/Stop/Cont/Reset in SCOPE
I'd like to use SCOPE as my MIDI clock generator. So I'd like to be able to send any MIDI Realtime commands, also. I'd also like for those realtime commands to be under MIDI CC control. I sync Ableton Live to it, along with the whole studio, but Live looses all control over start/stop when it's unde...

One old Peavey StudioMix that gets translated into Mackie mode on occasion (studio mix control). One BCR2000 (modular and effects control) One BCF2000 (effects control) One Keith McMillen SoftStep foot controller (for Live) And the most used: One Novation Launchpad (can do anything, with 3bit resolu...

Re: Modular Synth Patch Archive
Wow, what a great resource! Will there be a way to add directly to the archive? Or will you be manually scrapping patches from the Z?
This is the best thing to help me finally transition from the Nord to the SCOPE modular platform! Many thanks again!

Re: Huge Project Windows Suck
I have the same problem using my laptop and using a second monitor while in the studio, but none during practices. Sometimes device windows are off in virtual second monitor land, nowhere to be found, and not controlable by normal window methods so I can't make them reappear. Greg's trick of togglin...

Re: The May issue of Mix Magazine
I think the description of 18 DSPs is good as is. Going into details is overkill and confusing. Besides, the 6 old DSPs where chosen for their bandwidth of inter-chip communication, while the 12 new DSPs where chosen for pure calculation (the new DSP generation from Analog Devices makes some comprom...

Re: Dual Screen Laptop
Imagine having your sequencer in the upward window, keeping a view on the song, while controlling the mixer or some device(s) on the bottom window via touch -- no midi mapping, etc. Just tweak. That's brilliant to me!

Acer's Iconia Dual Screen Tablet/Laptop makes it to production:

But, WHY couldn't they just slip in an ExpressCard slot for the XITE??!!

Edit the BCF: Assign different CC's to each fader, just keep them on the same MIDI channel. The default Program #1 does this.

Nothing for sure, I just happened to be shopping for a rackmount case for a PC, and that happened across my eyes after reading your request. Looks like it is only for 2 PCI and 2 PCIe cards

Re: Clone of a Roland System 100
It's easy to say that using emulators is an unworthy or uncreative pursuit. But I've found over and over the practice of going through the process of re-creating a module, a sound, or other is much like going through school and learning that 2+2=4. Yeah, it's been done before. But going through a pr...

Re: Please vote on these new ASBs!
Maybe a single product: Something like the Solaris interface, that auto-maps to any SCOPE device. Also maybe something to mimic the SCOPE Live Bar for navigation between devices. Could be coupled through a computer (USB), and that way it sells to a larger audience than just SCOPE users, introducing ...
