Re: sys files - issue on latest Win 8 x64 - CAUSE CONFIRMED
Could someone try the following: Rename the sys file extension that causes the freeze to sys2. So "DAS COEF11.sys" will be named "DAS COEF11.sys2". I don't have my DAS keys yet so I can't test the DAS devices but the Quantum Wave is loading without a freeze or "file not fou...

Re: sys files - issue on latest Win 8 x64 - CAUSE CONFIRMED
The unlock trick did not work. My system automatically installed KB2919355 again and the freezes came back. Could someone try the following: Rename the sys file extension that causes the freeze to sys2. So "DAS COEF11.sys" will be named "DAS COEF11.sys2". I don't have my DAS keys...

Quantum Wave, I got the freeze while running Scope as administrator without any message.dante wrote:Wouterz, which Zarg synth ? - and if you run Scope as administrator, did it tell you what file it cant load ?
We might as well document all affected plugs / files.

Re: sys files - issue on latest Win 8 x64 - CAUSE CONFIRMED
I also had freezes under Windows 8.1 64 bit, one of the Zarg synths. Uninstalling KB2919355 solved this, but I'm going to install KB2919355 again because of this: "Windows 8.1 Update is a cumulative set of security updates, critical updates and updates. You must install Windows 8.1 Update to en...

Re: Help - STM mixers - Stereo aux's
I use the busses for that. The bus output goes through an effect and I put a mixer after the STM that mixes the bus signals together with the main output. But I also use the mono aux sends to add reverb and (ping pong) delays to the signal. Those effects add stereo information to the sound so having...

Always unblock downloaded files before installing devices
When you install Scope devices always press this button (right click on file -> properties) after you have downloaded it from the internet (Sonic Core FTP). This solved at least one problem for me when installing devices (Wolf MIDI toolbox).

Re: Using XITE-1 Mic/DI inputs for synths
I will be using both inputs to connect a stereo synths and I was worried what would happen if I pressed the phantom power switch by accident.

Using XITE-1 Mic/DI inputs for synths
I understand from some previous threads that I use the XITE-1 Mic/DI inputs to connect synths and other line level instruments. Can I damage my synths if I accidentally press the phantom power switch? Can I use unbalanced jack cables for the Mic/DI inputs?

We are the toughest crowd to sell to. So content with our older cards that nothing new can change your workflow, unless it's to use cards and a 1U. Re: Connecting word clock
yes, that's correct. in a home studio, it's probably not worth getting too worked up about, but there are clock distributors that only split a clock signal to 4-8 additional devices. I think I will buy a Drawmer D-Clock (Clock Measurement & Distribution unit). It has 20 BNC clock outputs so tha...

Re: A16Ultra - would Big Ben improve it's sound?
z-link is a VERY good, low jitter clock connection. even if you use word clock for the XITE and the ADAT A16, the z-link connection will work great, just as well as the word clock connection on the ADAT A16. But will it also work if I connect two Scope systems together using ADAT (XITE1, PCI) each ...

Re: A16Ultra - would Big Ben improve it's sound?
I would guess it "forwards" the clock on. Otherwise, all of it's digital ports would be unusable. However, I don't know if that's better than just using SCOPE's built-in wordclock. The clock would be received, locked on to, and possibly re-generated. Personally, I think SCOPE XITE's wordc...

Re: A16Ultra - would Big Ben improve it's sound?
Does this mean that the Z-Link ports are unusable when Scope (XITE-1 or PCI) is in wordclock slave mode or does Scope "forward" the wordclock signal over the Z-Link connections to the A16 Ultra?
