Looks like miracles do happen ! UA sent me an updated UA Connect installer via Dropbox - and it works ! Holger must have set them straight about this ‘sound card’ business

I don’t think it Scope ASIO - UA Connect is just looking for a sound card when it starts up I think. It’s the B3 that works with Harrison.

Yesterday, I tried NoahEX WAVE driver as Windows "standard" audio device on ancient ACER Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.3GHz WinXP SP3 laptop, playing back some music via Noah EX analog outputs and phones output.
I was really surprised how good it sounds !
And it acts as a MIDI interface for Windows ...

Thanks Maus. Our suburb is on a hill so no downflow. But we sometimes head down to the Maribynong river park for Sunday strolls or shoot the breeze with muso mates at the Anglers Tavern. Not this weekend - about 500 homes down there flooded out.

I recently raised a ticket with UA as their new native app 'UA Connect' (recently released for Windows after being Mac only) blue screens when it encounters scope as an audio source in Windows.

If I dont run Scope (XITE-1D turned off at boot), the UA Connect doesn't blue screen but just pops up a ...

So, my smallest rig is laptop, ASIO4ALL, Reaper, class-compliant Esi Midimate Ex and any MIDI keyboard lacking USB.
B.t.w., SysEx is perfect w/ BOME "SendX" application.
I re-loaded several soundbanks into Roland D-550, Roland U220, Yamaha TG-77, Yamaha TG-500 as also on related cardridges after ...

MIDEX8 lost me at sysex bulk dump. My new MIDI rig is as follows and rock solid:

Its bidirectional as the ports will work either as IN's or OUT's. Haven't tested with sysex bulk dump yet but will be great to use with my Rack Mounted DB50GX and a laptop with XG-Gold both ...

Urgent ? Nothing for me . That’s why I don’t mind going back to 11. From memory there’s some hi res graphic stuff, which is probably the cause of the issue. But yeah - the Mimic is cool but I’ve only used it twice

Reason has just released ver 12.2.8d49 which reportedly fixes issues with Radeon based cards. Dunno if my Gigabyte GTX1050 is Radeon based, but it seems to have fixed the issues !!

Will test more - but happy so far. :)

Update : 10 mins later. Nope. Works if the color scheme is set to 'Blue' but if ...

Here @ home, when hunting for something to watch on Stan, Britbox, Paramount+ etc etc - we give high priority to those that say 'based on a true story'.

Reason 12 sucks for me. I had to roll back to Reason 11 months ago. Way more stable.


I gave up on updating/upgrading RSN and use v10.4 and v11.x only,- on occasion.
I´m happy I didn´t invest too much and I didn´t buy any REs.

So you can run STS on XITE by assign to old DSP ? Any issue w/- poly or version of STS (3000, 4000, 5000 etc) ?
