Re: Strange Communication Error I have for about 3 years..

no it does not sync, looses sync or drops out for about 15mins after each "cold" boot, cold meaning here that the machine is not thermally hot, or on temps ;) example: if I boot the pc in the morning after a night where it could completely cool down to room temperature I have to wait about...

Strange Communication Error I have for about 3 years..

hi guys... I am still with scope :D - just cant give it away, too much flexibility :) But in about 3 years I tried to pin down a problem that I never really could understand, cause I never thought that thermal issues could be the problem, but in my case looks like to be happening only when the cards...

windows xp 32bit vs windows 7 32bit

hi there, I am moving back from 64bit windows 7 to 32bit windows 7 and I am wondering if 32bit win7 is regarding scope absolutely identical to 32bit winxp To me 32bit winxp was great, unfortunately I configured the system to death cound not repair install, lots of trouble, lost my 5 year old setup b...

Re: DC Mod of a creamware a16

Think of recording the snappy envelopes of your modular synth into your daw and use them with modular IV Could you not control Scope Modular IV directly with the CV ( without recording it in DAW first ) ? sure you can, but I would always record it too for later total recall, or later editing of cv ...

Re: DC Mod of a creamware a16

Cool - like a hardware version of SilentWays / ExpertSleepers. yes, but with 16I/O in 1U - if you have a real modular synth which i happen to have things become like a disney wonderland for musicians, think of recording the snappy envelopes of your modular synth into your daw and use them with modu...

Re: wave source random glitches

hello again...

just to make sure everyone with 64 bit win7 has this issue I need to ask:

Does anyone NOT have this problem with wave drivers in win7 64 bit??

If you dont have it, tell us what configuration you have!

cheers

Re: wave source random glitches

I dont care anymore, complaining about bugs is just consuming too much time and life quality, I do very rarely watch youtube videos and actually stream them to my asio inputs for later editing, i mean very rarely, and listen to music I do with my itunes on a macbook pro, which is a very neat concept...

Re: wave source random glitches

that would do it for me, I just use winamp on my music pc for everything else I have a mac if mac had audio controllable realtime modular environments I would be gone to apple long time ago, those bugs really dont add to workflow. so i try that workaround now :) edit: it worked :) thanks for that ti...

Re: Is a system like Kyma possible in Scope?

i dont think i fully understand what you meant, but I was wondering how much latency the mac interlal routing consumes, as far as I know mac osx can talk to different audio interfaces at the same time, but how much latency would that introduce? I am a mac noob but I am checking it out right now

Re: Is a system like Kyma possible in Scope?

ah so you route it via the audio interfaces, but i guess you will get some latency through that

Re: Is a system like Kyma possible in Scope?

does anyone know how many inputs and outputs kyma has? I would love it to have adat ports, unfortunately it hasnt. I would need realtime reshaping of cv signals, controlling modular or other analog gear... if kyma could do that it would be awesome, but as it looks like it is really offline oriented,...

Re: Successful Full Range with Silentway Voicecontrol

nah, think loading several modulars ;) one for each voice I would suggest, now that power is abundand I would do it as follows: Build one voice in your modular, say 2 inputs for freq and gate and 6 inputs free or assignable to your needs for external lfo or envelopes (from silentway for example, but...

Re: Successful Full Range with Silentway Voicecontrol

you need 2 channels per voice, one is the frequency of the oscillator, the other is the gate, which in modular you can use to drive 6 envelopes (at 6 voices) so you dont need more channels to use the voicecontroller envelopes
