Re: Built new system - won't boot at all - * SOLVED *
Haha, yeah nice brand name. STFU! by Neutron :P The funny thing is, I'm sure connected it in the same way, there are only two cables, the 24pin main cable and the additional 4pin 12V cable are the most importantant connections to get the PC powered up in the first place. Hard to go wrong there. Then...

Re: z-link and adat at the same time.
Thanks for making that clear Neutron. I plan to stick with 44.1kHz, so connecting the A16U to the Pulsar2 classic through ADAT for the full 16 channels seems like the best solution way for me.

Re: z-link and adat at the same time.
*kick* I have a question, I've got 3 6DSP cards: a Pulsar2 Z-Link (my main card with most of my plugins installed), a Pulsar2 classic and a SRB 6DSP. I have a luna box, which obviously only can be connected to the Z-Link card. But I also have an A16 Ultra. If I want to connect both boxes, what will ...

Re: Built new system - won't boot at all - * SOLVED *
Ok this is quite embarrassing, but I'll tell you anyway what the problem was. After two or three day trying to get the PC to work, I neatly put the PSU back in it's original package to return it to the shop where I bought it. I already sent them an e-mail that I got a DOA PSU, as I tested the...

Re: Built new system - won't boot at all
Just some wild guesses... 1) bad system chassis switch? You might be able to make the reset switch act as the power switch as something to try. 2) bad video card? if you have a spare card, I would slam it in there to test... Hi, I already did that, to make the reset switch act as a power switch and...

Re: Built new system - won't boot at all
Hi, Yes I also thought of that and tried the three possible jumpersettings on the mobo for the bios: Normal, configuration and recovery -> no luck... I also tried to start with no keyboard and mouse connected -> no luck. Got to go to work now, I'll try the PSU tomorrow and I'll report back. Thanks s...

Re: Built new system - won't boot at all
Hi Gary, Thanks for your reply. Yes I think I have to remove the power supply from my old PC to doublecheck. I checked the case cables a lot of times to be sure I connected the right cables at the right place. I hope it's te power supply then. I'll check this tomorrow, because I have a very long wor...

Built new system - won't boot at all - * SOLVED *

After I conneced everything and tried to turn it on, the PC just seems dead. No BIOS beeps, no running fans, no screen.. I tried to remove some peripheral devi...

Interesting, I just started building my new setup too, also DP35DP + E8500!! But it contains only 3 x 6 dsp's. I thought this board would be hassle free to setup (I'm no computer wizard either), but I'll cross my fingers when I come to that point.. I'm sure Gary B can help you further with this. goo...

Re: Info from NAMM regarding XITE, Scope 5 and Solaris
Cool video, very much appreciated! And Gary, nice that you asked 'the gentlemen' about automation in scope. As you already told us they have other priorities at this time which I can understand, when (if!) the time comes that one can setup USB controllers with controller data feedback, and when scop...

Wow thanks a lot!
I will take a look at all the DI boxes/racks available at Thomann and the Musicstore. For sure a lot of options...

Re: -10/+4 switch on A16 Ultra only work in groups of 8 channel?
Aha!
I thought so and thanks for the confirmation, Mark
I will look for a multichannel DI-box box (preferably a 19" unit) in the near future then.

-10/+4 switch on A16 Ultra only work in groups of 8 channel?
The title says it all, I have a A16 Ultra and I haven't used it yet, because I have to build my new PC first, if I find the time later this week. I have one preamp (Focusrite Penta) which I want to connect to my A16U, and want to use it at +4dBu of course (balanced), but that is the only external ha...

All Righty then!!ReD_MuZe wrote:consider it done :>
That means that Kickme Too will not only be a ultra tight drumsynth as it already is, but it will also become a lean mean bass monster for creating those ultra low trouserflapping 808 basslines playable from your keyboard!

Re: Question about the tone control on Adern's kickme too
if you want i can make a kickme that follows the keyboard wouldnt that be nicer than dealing with numerbs. That would be really awesome! To me it's very useful and I did request keyboard follow for the tune parameter, but I thought it would be a hassle to program/imlement that afterwards, and apart...

Re: using gate
Also try to keep powercables and signalcables of your external gear apart from eachother to avoid extra noise. To prevent chopping off tails, you could extend the hold and/or release parameters, but this will only be effective if the notes/sounds aren't triggered too quickly after each other. I'm ju...
