Anyway the DPC problem is not a Gigabyte problem only... Try the tool and try to disable any network adapter as i've already say. DPC : no spikes at all - even no little spike when moving tyhe mouse and dropout happens network disabled : moving the mouse & dropouts : I just tested configuration...

this is the installation with pulsar2 and srb :

the pulsar2 is all alone on his irq - no desactivating necessary.
the srb was not alone - but I desactivated 2 usb controlers, pci express root port3 and smbus - so now its alone.

Interesting, I just started building my new setup too, also DP35DP + E8500!! But it contains only 3 x 6 dsp's. I thought this board would be hassle free to setup (I'm no computer wizard either), but I'll cross my fingers when I come to that point.. I'm sure Gary B can help you further with this. go...
