It is totally amazing what you can do with it esp. with the open plan design. I'm building another one next with touch ribbons for pot ...

Here, here  I agree. Better midi params which would enable smoother contol is definately the way we should go. I too don't understand why there hasn't been a second Midi controller language. I'm sure it can't be too difficult. With other interfaces having revisions in their controller languag...

I have just built the Midi64 midi controller project and found it easy to do, esp. since I have not done any electronics since college. If you are interested in building a drum synth then try http://go.to/edrum/ There is a list of projects to build at this link http://www.ucapps.de/links.html. Good ...

There are a few drum modules on the modular download page and there is the SDS device which allows you to use your own samples. You could also use the STS sampler with Akia or SoundFont samples - The STS talk page has a good number of links for both these formats.
I hope this is of help

range limiting in the modular:
btw...this idea of using a crossfade module to limit the range between two arbitrary values was borrowed from a nord modular tutorial on hard sync, by Rob Hordijk.
Can you post a link to the tutorial?
many thanks

I'm basically trying to get new types of snare rushes or pulses but I imagine that I could use it in a number of solutions such as pitch, amplitude etc. I want to increase the freq of a pulse or square osc initially so I can get a snare like hit that repeats in an incremental way so as to give a rus...

Yeah, to use this in Mod2 would be way cool. But from what I've been reading on other links I don't think CW have left Mod2 open source for developers

I would like a synth that enabled me to draw my own waveforms to play. There could be a drawing window, which would allow freeform drawing with the mouse (maybe the mouse pointer changing to the pencil tool) Standard wave shapes could be selected or a clear button would give a blank drawing area. Dr...
