Just downloaded this (on Mac) and the unzipped file does not contain any presets. Anyone else had this?

Petal, You'll find more presets for Sonic Attack here http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=6819&forum=13&5 which I've just added a couple of new presets to and also included DeFex's and Michu's Banks (all properly credited so you can see who did what) into a sort of 'Super Bank'...

This is a good thread but I'm a bit worried about the idea of 'filtering out the duds' - sometimes the best sounding preset can sound shite in a mix, and likewise a potentially lame preset can sit nicely and sound completely different when placed in a mix. OK I'm definitely for getting rid of any 'S...

Well I've never seen a flow diagram of the SFP mixers but if they work 'normally' then here's what I imagine happens (please correct me if I'm wrong): when you insert an effect it is before the panpot and before the level fader too, so if you wanted to use a compressor for instance you can set it up...

I dunno about sounds but I tried the Andromeda and I found all the knobs were wobbly. For a synth of this price and calibre I would expect a firmer feel (oo-er) and I was so put off that I didn't even put on the headphones to hear it. OK it was a shop demo model but surely it shouldn't be that knack...

Why don't you just use the panpot in the audio mixer?

You should try updating your OS to 9.2.2 as this is recommended by Mac users here to run SFP3.1. Also update to 3.1c immediately (if you manage to get 3.1a installed first that is!).

Are you hitting 'Save' after you import the keys or just closing the dialogue box? Make sure you save the keys. A new dialogue box will say something like 'Activation keys saved successfully'.

I have the same problem on Mac. All I see on the ModIII bar is CDAccess and PepBase, which are actually located in SFP:App:Bin, nothing to do with ModIII. I'm very confused.

The Poly setting in the main Program window only sets the maximum polyphony for that Program, ie. if you set four your maximum polyphony will be four. This is not the setting of the STS's polyphony, which you can set in the Live Bar the same as synths (in SFP 3.1c) or from the Presets list or the De...

I'd wait till you've got your Pulsar2 board and see whether the problem remains as Pulsar2 has the newer hardware ASIO drivers which will also help your Pulsar 1 board.

There should be more drum stuff like this for Pulsar/SFP. As a Mac user I'm going to have to wait a while longer though (boo hoo).

Where to start. I'm having four main problems, one on STS 5000, three on ModIII. Any help would be appreciated, although I have tried most of the obvious and not so obvious stuff to try and fix this don't be afraid to suggest anything. I've been emailing CW a lot recently and I thought I'd try here ...

Hi kim, Yes I'm aware that the higher sample-rate can, with the right kit (usually expensive Apogee converters), somehow 'add' or reintegrate something to 16bit 44.1kHz recordings. Sony have a system called Super Bit Mapping which even appeared on some of their DATs for a while, I never really thoug...

I honestly would never use XTC mode (and I'm not just saying that cos I'm a Mac user!). The SFP environment suits my way of thinking. I always like to get dirty and get round the back of equipment and patch stuff and SFP is like software version of doing that, whereas I never liked the 'hidden' way ...

I'm a Mac user and not much use to you, but I did notice you say you use ASIO1 modules. Use the ASIO2 ones and see if that makes a difference. Also try using the 'normal' ASIO2 24-bit Dest and ASIO2 24-bit Source modules. [ This Message was edited by: TonyR on 2002-12-04 08:20 ]

OK I'm fairly new to Mod III, but when I load 808 groover patch all I get is nasty noises where the drum samples should be. The Sample Pool seems to have the samples loaded but I just get this crunchy distorted noise (quite good for my more industrial moments). Anyone know why this is so? Other patc...
