Re: Set "CPU Affinity" to CORE 0 to use 64bit Scope ASIO
The new OS thingy is one of those things that scare me with all these tweaks - although it states that its only related to PCI ... Maybe I will open a thread dedicated to this mobo and ask for tips . I also wanted to ask about a recommended video card - as I think all the cubase 8.5 graphics are wei...

Re: Set "CPU Affinity" to CORE 0 to use 64bit Scope ASIO
There are quite a few other "legacy" options - which I wonder if they might improvebthe situation.
P.S.
I'm running windows 7
Would limiting scope to one core (and freeing it from other processes help?)P.S.

Re: Set "CPU Affinity" to CORE 0 to use 64bit Scope ASIO
I guess my only concern is not bricking my system.
My system is a new i7 with H97-D3H mobo
That setting exists in my BIOS (though I dont know if it functions ...)

Re: Set "CPU Affinity" to CORE 0 to use 64bit Scope ASIO
Just sub- par performance in terms of clicks and pops, and PCI capacity/loss of communication way before even half my dsp jar ... I am still tweaking and improving things - but besides buying a graphics card (Im running on MoBo graphics) there are some Bios parameters which might help (as this reall...

Re: Set "CPU Affinity" to CORE 0 to use 64bit Scope ASIO
does your computer have UEFI? if so, make the bios changes there. Gary, could you please elaborate (I am also banging my head trying to eliminate clicks and pops ... And perhaps IRQ conflicts) Are there any changes that should be made under the UEFI section in the bios ? (i7, win7, scope PCI) I cou...

Re: Synth drift
As far as I am concerned , you were all right - I have been dealing (and postedin the past about) all 3 types of problems ..
I think the OP was talking about jitter - but not sure (sharp bass sounds suffer from non-synced Oscs/Envelopes too)

Thanks for the detailed response Faxi, (And all the rest of the info in the other posts) My "learning curve" included coming up against all these "challenges" (tempo sync, midi drift, and oscs/envelopes "irregularities") I have been using Silentway and audio ramps for s...

Re: Modular IV VST MIDI Clock Module
Lol ... Yup ! (Just started exploring Flexor last night and bumped up against this problem (made a pure-Flexor synth , and of course I went straight for the MVC C ....) Crazy offsets/delays ... I tried using a SC envelope for the VCA and Flexor envs for the filters - the SC was solid - the Flexors w...

Re: External Synths to Pulsar Analog Ins (RCA) - low levels
Well - I apologize for not knowing this stuff by heart - but to be honest - it is a jumble of units that didnt really didnt add up to solve my problem. Do -20 consumer level inputs "match" -20 cosumer outputs (line levels) ? (I guess the MicroQ has low line level as it is said to be "...

Re: External Synths to Pulsar Analog Ins (RCA) - low levels
Is -20dB the "input level" / sensitivity - or does that mean that it attenuates a "full scale" line signal by 20dB ?

Re: External Synths to Pulsar Analog Ins (RCA) - low levels
-20dBFS ?? Im confused .... (Is the MicroQ supposed to be blasting hot on the RCAs if its output is ~-12dB ? (There is no mention of specs - let alone which dBs are mentioned in the various online posts I found ...) The wikipedia entry for DI mentions that it converts unbalanced highZ signals to bal...

Re: External Synths to Pulsar Analog Ins (RCA) - low levels
Yeah - the synths are at max - and hard unison (with filters open on the MicroQ) ... Are the Pulsar RCAs "pro" (+4dB) level ? (I think the MicroQ is -12dB output level and sounds are usually lower to accomodate filter resonances without internal clipping ...) I couldnt find any info on thi...

External Synths to Pulsar Analog Ins (RCA) - low levels
Hi, Probably a NewB question - but: I have an old MicroQ and TX802 (Yay !) and when connected to my Pulsar inputs (directly via the RCAs) - I get a very low input level (Noise floor is around -75dB and signal is around -28dB (on the Scope mixer) This is a problem because when bringing the volume up ...
