Re: How did you open 2022?

Quiet dinner with the wife. Dungeness crabs fresh from the ocean about 140km away from where I live, paired with a very dry sparkling wine. First day of the year no computers, reading, a hike along a river, a nap with the cats, and a long noisy session of messing around with physical modular synthes...

Re: Looking for DAS/DASGOST linear crossover files

Thanks for searching for this. I would imagine that anyone with the ConvolveQ would have downloaded this crossover as well, but ConvolveQ is a very peculiar equalizer so I don't know if many got sold. I contacted Thomas some time ago and he said Eric created it so DAS had all the files. Along those ...

Re: Oscilloscope for ASIO windows ?

I'm also all about the hardware, I have an old-fashioned phosphor screen oscilloscope and vector-scope. For more portable operations I have a Hantek 6022BE, which is inexpensive and gets the job done.

Re: mandatory inserts ?

Firstly, drums are a struggle for everyone. It's really hard to get a cohesive and detailed sound that works whether you're going for something natural sounding or totally artificial. It's not trivial, entire careers in recording have been based on an ability to get a certain drum "sound"....

Re: Software Modulars

I really like the quality of the Softube modular, haven't been using VCV very long but finding that version 2 Pro won't boot up with Scope, long-time user of Reaktor. Scope is the primary modular for me, I find myself using other modulars for things that are under-represented in Scope modular like B...

Re: Scope installation!

Yeah, there's a lot of things not explicitly stated that could be. I had some maddening experiences coming back to Scope after a long time away and had to find tips or recommendations here on the forums to get things squared away. I also am a fan of the simplicity and integration of STS. I'm about t...

Vectron with Ableton and/or Max Ocean Swift device

While setting up some automation between Max and the Scope Vectron (as one does) I suddenly remembered that Faxi already did the hard work.
Putting this here in case anyone else doesn't know about or has forgotten this very useful tool.

Re: VCV Rack with Scope PCI

I am, and on Win7. Make sure you only have one output module active in VCV.
VCV gives me all the wavefolding that isn't covered by the Adern modules, life is good.

Re: Midi transpose device

Wolf Audio has a chord generator in his midi utilities that's very good for this. His online shop doesn't work, so you'll have to contact him directly.

Sounds nice, looks playable, and has CV control over essential parameters. Definitely a contender.
Don't forget to leave some room in your rack for a Lightpipe/CV interface to control this with Scope and Bitwig.

Interesting. I assume from the drive sizes that this will be a 32 bit OS? Also, any criteria other than price and availability for the graphic card?

Re: KNobs from AliExpress? experience ?

Hard to beat that price, but I would go with djtechtools as they will work and be what you expect. Also, it's good to support companies that you want to stay around with your purchases.
This reminds me, I need more knobs to customize my two midi fighter twisters.
