Re: Oberheim pads
modular, JB stuff, prodyssey....... There are several ways to do pads in scope. (Pr)Odyssey/ARP filters are totally different from Oberheim filters and there were many different ones from simple 24dB lowpass over multi mode state variable to the multi moder filter types running on the CEM 3372 sign...

99 shekels for the update, mod 4, the oddity & pro tone. The price of one or maybe half a measly native plugin in. They're givin' it away. ns Yes, that´s cheap for SCOPE community guys but the truth is,- most users of native software don´t pay at all,- they use cracks. I even know profess...

don't know if it's still a valid tutorial here_ http://www.tim-carter.com/index.php?t=Midi+Latency+Problems&Menu=1&SubMenuId=22&ItemId=10 sorry if it's outdated, maybe not.... Yes, it is valid. There´s lot from Jay Levitt in that article and you see his webadress at the bottom. I was in...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
If you use Win XP sp2 or earlier, the TGT/QPC timer is an especially odd issue as Bud noted. WinXP SP3, Vista, Win7, and Win8 all support the newer HPET timer that is built in to all southbridge chips since 2005. O.k. that´s informative and I´ve read what it is. I assume the HPET timer can only be ...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
That is not the case. Scope uses it's internal oscillators. It is a completely separated system from the computer you are running the software on. 95% are algo's calculated on the dsp's. Yes, I know, but it´s only true as long as you run it as a completely separated system. Yogimeister uses it diff...

@bud Well, ive always gotten best results with "use system timestamp" - but im a newbie at using external MIDI (running scope synths and recording them). And my audio system is SCOPE PCI (duh) Any issues come up only w/ external (OUTGOING !!!) MIDI. Internal MIDI works,- p.ex. a MIDI trac...

"and Steinberg LTB MIDI interfaces Midex-3 and Midex-8" I have Midex-3 and i can hear the sync process itself. It doesn't suit my purposes. I haven't used Midex-8. Can be all works just only like a standard MIDI interface now since Steini discontinued older hardware incl. Midex-3 and -8. ...

Hi Bud, actually....beats me ;-) Dunno....gotta check that....it was designed in an other way than the Optimus Prime. Optimus is up to 2.5 sec Yes, I know,- and Optimus Prime would be ideal as a modulation delay in the mixer´s aux-channel and for my Oberheim Xpander. The TapeEcho can do longer dela...

Re: Mixing in Scope - Device latencies/phase problems
... Maybe it has to do with the "system timestamp" thing ... When I used Cubase SX3, it was essential checking "use system timestamp" ! There were USB-MIDI-driver issues in that aera and only the latest USB-MIDI-driver which came for the LTB MIDI interfaces was stable. I think i...

The Infinite-function works on the long delays....at least that how i designed it.....did you have that selected? I had hardware Proteus in early 90th - was the best sounding thing ever in those days. Well, I also had a Proteus FX for a long time, it had samples from across the complete Proteus range and I mainly used it for the orchestral sounds or layering something w/ other synth´s, DX7 p.ex., sounds....

Re: Cockos reaper
I prefer to be out of the discussion now.
I hope JoPo will be satisfied w/ Reaper.
Not everyone needs all the featuristis of the leading DAW manufacturers´ products.
I had the impression JoPo wants saving money,- like me, and Reaper is a great alternative in that case.
