Can I expect the STS 3-5000 (x64) to work under W7 x64 ?

It seems to have become an established fact here on Planetz that the STS series of samplers do not work under 64bit versions of Windows 7-10. Under Scope 5.1, however, there are samplers listed with the (x64) added to the name. This indicates that an attempt has been made at least by S|C to provide ...

Re: Brexit

A full scale global war is being prepared in a rush right now. It was true! And I am definetely sorry for being right about this! I share the impression that things may very quickly get out of hand. The tension between US and Russia in terms of promised retailiation if one party crosses "the re...

Re: SONICCORE MARKETING

Marketing was at a time an effort shared between Creamware and distributors. Here is a copy of a page 2 advertisement in a Computer music special issue from 2001. The ad refers to a Pulsar II card v3 which I think precedes the software revision 3.1 called Scope fusion platform which bacame a 1 sw-pl...

Re: SONICCORE MARKETING

Then there is this ad from Keyboard magazine, July 2003 issue. A good magazine for Creamware to be present in and the Creamware Noah ad certainly communicates that the machine is capable of delivering vintage sound which was very much in demand at that time. I suppose the price tag of USD 1995 / 249...

Re: SONICCORE MARKETING

As I was browsing through an old back up drive looking for some old Band in a box files, I came across this Creamware product catalog from 2004. Thought I might post it since it brings back memories of the days when Creamware seemed to have a good product mix offering innovative software and hardwar...

Re: Where does the Scope platform go?

Long time user hobbyist user here. I am impressed by the numerous high quality plugins that have appeared recently. It is certainly exiting to see how new developers manage to increase the sonic palette of the platform by offering inventive synths, processors and effects. However, I am a little conc...

Re: Why does Sonic core Do No Marketing?

Hm, been following the platform since 2002 and have seen products come and go and so also with marketing efforts. CW made very wise moves to attract different users by making diverse products: Luna - Pulsar - Scope, Klangbox, ASB, Noah etc. Full page adverts were published in Computer music, Keyboar...

R.I.P Keith Emerson

Keith Emerson has left us. He died on March 10th, aged 71. I am sure other scope users are influenced by Keith, so please join me on this thread and share your thoughts and gratitude of the composer, performer and his music. Although it has been a while since I last time put on one of his records, I...

Re: Clicks and pops with Cubase 8.5

Did you try to switch on the ASIO guard? I experienced sudden CPU spikes when playing just a few tracks of audio and a few VSTs the other day. The ASIO guard solved the issue.

My set up was Cubase Elements 8 64 bit, Win 7 64 bit, Scope 5.1.

A plug in revolution is coming!

Been absent from this forum for quite a while, mainly due to the time absorbing impact of my latest plug in which I bought in late 2011. At that time I was looking for a physical modelling of a real instrument more than a traditional synth plug, I can remember, and one day I walked past this local m...

Re: The May issue of Mix Magazine

I have to ask why the novamusic website is displayed in the ad though? There doesn't seem to be any information on scope (that I can see) and after browsing two pages my short attention span won and I closed the page :( it is there, but it does not give you a lot of information: http://www.novamusi...

Thanx fellas for the support....the quotes are from the 2011 NAMM show btw. There will be more to come...and they all will be different from the next...trust me...;) The objective was not to bombard people with stats....it is to bring awareness & name recognition to the product. If someone sees...

Re: The May issue of Mix Magazine

I am a happy owner of a NOAH EX which i bougth in 2003, new, for the same price as it vends for seconhand on Ebay today. It sold poorly at its release and was heavily reduced after a while. I think they make 1111 units in total. I am a little concerned that history may repeat itself. The niche of cu...

Re: The May issue of Mix Magazine

Looks good, but ... Seems like the main argument for buying the stuff is quotations from well known artists who happen to be using the platform. Nothing wrong with that as long as the Hans Zimmer quotation is not the old one; dating back to an interview made in 2001. Very few facts about the platfor...

Re: E4 Ultra sampler

I have an Ultra 6400 w/ Rfx 32, and the additional ADAT option and 4 extra inputs option. Mine has been working stable under OS 4.61 since I bought the unit. The only thing that can crash the machine is SCSI activities. Have you checked the SCSI set up? Is it hooked to a computer, and could the SCSI...

Re: What a long way we've come eh?

'72 model here. I remember how much time I spent in august 1989 winding and rewinding a tape in my Sony walkman to transcribe a solo piano piece by Keith Emerson. I came across a film score album (Murderock?) by Emerson in the legendary recordstore Toots, here in Bergen, and that song, "Theme f...

You may also check the combination of ULLI settings of SCOPE and the buffer settings of Ableton. Try to adjust the buffer settings at the control panel of Ableton.

ASUS P5QL PRO

Just to let you know that the ASUS P5QL PRO, w/ IP43 chipset, works like a charm for my Luna II, PI and PII cards. This is an advice for those in need of a reasonably priced upgrade for multi PCI card users. I bought 2 years ago a seconhand Carillon Rack mount pc with a PIII processor and 512 mb ram...

Re: Loading Performance ... failed

On the back side of the Noah, there is a sticker with the unique ID number of your unit. If you send it to Sonic core, they should be able to send your allkeys file with the appropriate codes for the plugins you own. I guess it is stored in a database. However, there should at this stage be installe...

Re: Loading Performance ... failed

If nothing helps, try restoring the unit using the flash tool: ftp://ftp.cwaudio.de/software/Noah/FlashTool/ It worked for me once I fryed the unit and erased the flash memory. It could not even boot ... "This programm allows to write and read the internal flash of your Noah synthesizer and sho...
