Re: Scope VS VST's
Well... to be fair, Arturia isn't really lighting the world on fire with their quality emulations. Put Minimax up next to Monark and... hm, close but Monark sounds a bit more natural to me. Of course, it's mono and I can play Minimax polyphonically, so that's something. Put Prodyssey up next to Oddi...

Re: Using a Behringer ADA8200 with an XITE-1
Oh crap. Lo Z out only. Guess I won't be running outs into my synths with this... not today at least. yeah, but it's line level. it's just balanced +4 pro level as opposed to unbalanced -20 consumer line level. you can use an adapter, the level out will just be hot, you'll just need to turn it down...

Zerocrossing - I find it interesting that you are spending so much energy on the stuff you have to buy extra or can't buy any more. Where are all the posts about the huge pile of plugins that came with the box or all the plugins you can download for free? I would find it interesting to hear how you...

Re: Using a Behringer ADA8200 with an XITE-1
I don't need it at the moment but if I ever decide to play the old Gibson SG again the Radial Plexitube is an incredible sounding Distortion effect with tweaks galore. I had a Vox Distortion Booster and a Maestro Fuzz Box as a kid and they were cool, but the Radial... If I had that as a kid I might...

Re: Using a Behringer ADA8200 with an XITE-1
The Black Mod Outputs are where you'll hear a difference. But I A/B'd mine on Dual 18's, and dual 3 x way Stereo PA and IEMs, so it helped for live use. But instead of worrying about that have fun with routing in hardware synths, FX, and other devices where 1s and 0s have a tough time reproducing t...

Re: Using a Behringer ADA8200 with an XITE-1
You can up the discrete audio at Black Lion Audio. Noticeable difference for 450 bucks. You can ADAT and even analog FX pedals with astonishing results. The Radial Plexitube is a killer distortion pedal making our digital distortion a cool way to add squelch. TC Fireworx is the sizzle too. I did a ...

Thanks for that. Works like a charm!garyb wrote:no need for bnc if the ADA8200 is the only unit needing digital sync.
just connect both input and outputs and set the ADA8200 to slave via ADAT.
done.

Re: Using a Behringer ADA8200 with an XITE-1
OK, so that's it? Should my settings have ADAT A and BNC selected?dawman wrote:I use TC Fireworx so my settings are different.
I use Scope as Master.
ADA8200 and 2 x TC Fireworx as Slaves.

Using a Behringer ADA8200 with an XITE-1
I picked up an ADA8200 for a decent price and before I get into it, I'm wondering if there's anything I should know. Do I just hook up the TOSLINK cables and a BNC? Is it wrong to assume that the XITE-1 should be the master clock source? Thanks.

Re: Xite Scope 5.1 random cracks and noises
Wifi can cause aweful headaches when trying to use low latency settings. I tried jumping through all kinds of hoops to allow it to work (for use with wireless devices in the studio)...but ultimately wifi and low latency audio step on each other way too often to work reliably. I suggest ditching wif...

Re: Xite Scope 5.1 random cracks and noises
Hm... You think that maybe my wi-fi hardware is sharing the same irq as the XITE-1? Had not thought of that. How could I find that out and change it if possible?garyb wrote:sharing an irq?

Re: Xite Scope 5.1 random cracks and noises
I turned off my wi-if and it made a big difference. Never seemed to effect my other FireWire interfaces but the XITE-1 does not like it.

Re: Xite Scope 5.1 random cracks and noises
I'm also having this exact problem. Never had it with my Presonus interface and even while I was using an old MOTU 828 while waiting for the XITE-1 to come, I never experienced it. (If I kept my audio buffer at 128 samples, that is. I haven't tried running by buffer that high. I got used to 64 and ...

another tease.......... ;) some examples from the second synth from the initial two synth release... this one is pi2525: https://soundcloud.com/ocean-swift/sets/ocean-swift-pi2525-audio-examples Wow, so funny that I was talking and thinking about unison engines and all of the sudden... Re: Is there a Scope synth plug in that does unison?
unisix is sometimes a bit buggy, it works but be careful. (still awesome) mvc c is great, but there is a bit of a timing issue with the modular module (still awesome) shameless plug: hang tight for our Ocean Storm synth, unison is a big part of what it does. Looking forward to this. The screen shot...

Re: Is there a Scope synth plug in that does unison?
Thanks kids! I'll spark up Profit 5 later, I think that'll do the trick. I looked at ProTone and I thought it didn't do it so Profit 5 probably didn't either, so I just ended up using Dmitry Sches' Diversion, which has a very cool architecture and sounds great but I was hoping for something a little...
