Re: New PC build 2023 Advice Needed

M.2 is a stick hard drive that plugs right into your motherboard. From the web: "An M. 2 SSD is a small form factor solid-state drive (SSD) that is used in internally mounted storage expansion cards. M. 2 SSDs conform to a computer industry specification and are designed to enable high-performa...

Re: New PC build 2023 Advice Needed

Hi Mr. Arkadin. Your new build looks really great. I built a similiar box 2 years ago and initially had various problems unrealated to Scope but mostly got it sorted out. (I still ocasionally get pops and clicks but only with VST instruments in the DAW.) Here is the thread: https://forums.scopeusers...

Re: Behringer Motor 61 cheap?

So i thought I'd report back on this topic a few years later. Can't believe it's been 3 yrs. So far the keyboard has miraculously worked flawlessly. I think the latest firmware did the trick for many of the problems that were plaguing it in the beginning. Very interesting on how the pricing has migr...

Re: Ableton/ScopeASIO64 Win 11

Well most of that is beyond my level of understanding but when I reboot the computer i really don't expect any artifacts to remain from the last session. If Win 11 has started saving and reloading last session info like that after reboot then we are all doomed for a gradual disintigration of a clean...

Ableton/ScopeASIO64 Win 11

Been having sporatic problems with my system. Win 11 64bit. Scope Xite-1 Scope 7 64bit Ableton Live 11 Sometimes Ableton will crash and then Scope won't restart with some pop-up messages usually associated with the Xite not being found by the system. OR When I turn the computer on it doesn't see the...

Re: singer setup ?

There are lots of ways to do what you want in Scope. Put your recording engineer hat on and figure out what works best for you. Every single user here will probably give you a different answer. (different Scope hardware, DAWS and different external gear) I like the STM-2448 as a default. Lots of rou...

Re: Waves plugins..., kinda arrivederci for me

I agree. With companies like PA, Polyverse, and Valhalla. I really don’t see the need for waves anymore……and as Bud referred to their update/upgrade policies are pretty lame. Of course if you’ve got a Scope system, I’m not sure why anyone would prefer a VST for dynamics especially. Even the stock pl...

I hope Kanye is abel to get Parlour going. It seems like it’s got the right concept of free speech. Hopefully it will be able to stave off the onslaught from the forces of oppression.

Re: Original Release Dates of all Scope instrument plugins from 1999-2009

Try here and click on "archive" http://www.modularsynth.co.uk/index.shtml That site is mainly just for custom presets of the Modular synth. I am looking for the original release dates of plugins such as Poison, Lightwave, Prisma, Sixstring, Synchrome, etc. It listed the release dates for ...

Re: It seems I will be joining the Xited side of the force after all

Sorry Bud, I'm not explaining myself very well. My point is really that with Scope version 7, the allocation of resources was greatly improved (just my observation) When you load a synth and select 16 voices it is not going to fit on one DSP so Scope will automatically spread the load to other DSP's...

Re: It seems I will be joining the Xited side of the force after all

 No not quite all of them at once, you will hit your DSP limit for sure but my point is that you can go right to 16 voices on all of them without SAT connections and DSP optimizations and that is huge amount of voices. Did you try it Bud? I hit my DSP limit at about 7-8 all at 16 voices and th...

Re: It seems I will be joining the Xited side of the force after all

To add to Bud's reply: With V7 all of the stock synths have been optimized on the Xite to automatically spread the DSP's on the same DSP channel. I was able to load all of the synths at the same time and ran them up to their maximum poly. (that will make you smile when you try that) Note: Six String...

Re: AKAI Samplers Floppy Replacement

yes "volumes" just simply "folders" with programs and samples. Different sizes depending on your samplers RAM. For the commercial CD's I purchased I think each "volume" was no more than 8megs with each program numbered. When I upgraded the RAM I can probably have larger...

Re: AKAI Samplers Floppy Replacement

The problem might be the 500 (or 520) MB limit of the S-1000 and S-1100. So it´s important you can store and load "volumes" which can be anything in between 2, 4, 8 - 32MB chunks and accordimg to the RAM size of a given AKAI sampler. When it´s all limited to disk images (HDD Floppy or CD)...

Re: AKAI Samplers Floppy Replacement

They provided the cable and you can choose the length and yes it has the proper pins. Don't know if it is a special cable or off the shelf.
