Dunno why but these presets crash my Pulsar (everything freezes). Guess I'll just have to make my own. I run Pulsar II v3.01 on Mac, maybe there's a 3.01 issue? Any suggestions welcome, TonyR Just tried them again and Pulsar freezes, but I can still move the cursor (but that's all I can do). <font s...

I had similar problems with STS3000 on my Mac G4, so the follwing suggestions may be irrelevant but anything's worth a try: First off are you on v3.01? If so make sure you download the latest version of STS generated on the My Page section of the Creamware site. This fixed a few of my problems. Howe...

I would like to see continous pitch controls on the pitch step sequencer. Most old modular step sequencers didn't have semitone steps but continous knobs. As we're not working with MIDI notes here, just pitch, you could happily tune each step of your sequence randomly or to some exotic scale (a freq...

I'm Mac based so this may not be relevant. I also had 'nil reference' problems on my STS3000 when I upgraded to V3.01. When I mailed CW their response was that I should execute the v3 .oxe file that you can generate from the My Page section on the CW site. That cured that problem but not my main pro...
In 2.04a I never had a problem with the cset.ini, but in 2.01 and 3.01 it seems to often become corrupted. You can find the cset.ini in Pulsar3:app:Bin. When you first install Pulsar you should make a copy of this. Then if Pulsar slows down or crashes just copy the pristine cset.ini into the app:Bin...
What software version of Pulsar are you using? I find that since 3.01 I have to reinstall the cset.ini file once in a while to get everything working. Plus, are you using Pulsar's midi port or an external one? I have found that Pulsar's midi is not great and use a USB one instead. I have not encount...

I would always recommend PMC speakers(Professional Monitor Company). The new TB2s look very good and are very flat and unlike the NS10s (burn'em, please) they do not fatigue the ear over long sessions. Their speaker stands are a bit expensive but do add some great weight to the bottom end without a ...
