Hey Paul!
Really nice!
It's exactly the kind of music I'd expect to hear during the credits of a good movie like Hero or Curse of the golden flower.

Ok, I have to disagree with everyone else. It doesn't sound authentic at all. For that you would need to play it through a cell phone or a similar device, and then record the output with an old tape deck. Then it would sound just like the music that the cd shops in our chinatown keep playing in the ...

Nestor, When I started using FL, it was at around v2. Back then, it really was mostly a tracker with a few generator modules and sample trigering ability. They rapidly added vst, DX and ASIO support. What makes this soft great is that they actually listen to their users and implement a lot of new fe...

Fl Studio does record audio(including fancy automation), supports ASIO and IS a pretty much complete sequencer package. In fact, it has a lot of really wacky features that simply don't exist anywhere else. The only area that I can think of where it's still lacking in features is in the video synchro...

A few things I noticed from their web site: - No specified place of business - No gear list, which is commonly required in that market - A team of highly qualified but nameless specialists - Payment by Paypal or western union only And a small quote from their site: Sometimes recording studios lack p...

Cool!!! quite 1337! Seriously now, I don't know about you guys(and the few girlies too) but I usualy try to think about ways to create new sound with my surroundings than the other way around. I'd be much more impressed to see this guy turn out a really cool new album with this expensive gear than s...
Why do people still use IE? I mean, there's been something like 1 major flaw, backdoor, hole and whatnot found in it every week since Windows has been available. It kind of reminds me of a scene in the Simpsons where Lisa puts electricity on some muffins and Bart keeps trying to grab them, saying ou...

In Montreal, only Steve's Music retails CW stuff. It's one of those stores where you should only go if you know exactly what you want and hope they have it in stock. They have relatively good prices but few truly knowledgeable staff members. Most are recycled guitar salesman, atitude included... The...

mmm... - I remember how to properly align a 5in floppy drive. - I also have a properly set up firewall. - I regularly back up my files and store the physical medium at a remote location. - I stopped counting the number of leds on my equipment when it got passed 100. Darn! I don't have 6 lcds yet tho...

Hey! I actually noticed this one before you told me about it! I'm kinda surprised of the type of music they've asked for though. Somehow, I would have imagined something closer to Country for this type of show. Anyway, this one seems to fit perfectly with the theme you described. Cool stuff Paul! Re...

2) Z-link is a much safer choice than ADAT for multi I/O for the long run IMHO. Lightpipe doesn't support 24 bit unless you split the bits across multiple channels -- so with 24 bit you get 4 channels for the price of 8 with ADAT. Z-link gives you 8 for the price of 8! This will likely be much more...
