Hey Tom,

Good to hear from you again mate, I had a feeling it would be you who would come to my rescue.

The problem is kind of intermittant, so it's hard to tell if it's patterned, but when it does appear, it stays on those particular channels to the point where I can mute them.

It could ...

Hi all,

Been a while since I posted here, but I could really use some help, as I have only recently had the time to get back into music, and seem to be plaqued by all sorts of problems the most pressing being this one.

My Yamaha 03D is the heart of my install, as the ADAT in/out is connected ...

This might sound like a daft point to make, so feel free to ignore it, but have you moved your computer in anyway since reinstalling?

Basically the two times I got this error where when the card wasn't quite in the slot properly , and the other time was when my Pulsar I breakout cable wasn't ...

Since the mixerpacks have been generating work for you because of the increased transfers. May I suggest that users be allowed to create their own packs. Nobody wants to buy something they already have.

Finally, a sensible suggestion... who said that these discussions amount to nothing, eh ...

Remember all the promo leaflets for scope fusion platform before it came out a few years back?

They illustrated SFP running on a Mac with Widescreen displays.

Maybe they were designed with those screens in mind.

@remixme
In case of card amnesia we would certainly not charge such fee. In case of upgrade, we recommend to leave the "old board" in the system. Decisions like to sell the card but keep certain keys we would see as unforced key transfer for which we charge the fee.

I had a sneaky suspicision ...

Charging people for support on a card that is more than 2 years old? That is straight out wrong in my opinion.

Sorry to add fuel to flames here but, you're lucky if you get support on cards that are more then two years old, period. Let alone paid support. In the PC business support after two ...

Fair enough, my grievances with the transfer fee are now subsiding.

But Frank, do you not think there are certain situations where the transfer fee should be waived?
I.E, Such as Failed boards and upgrades.

For example my venerable Pulsar I sometimes loses its keys. I don't know if that happens to ...

I love a good discussion... Lots of random thoughts here, hope I'm coherent in some manner...

I support a better, more-efficient and user-friendly copy-protection system from Creamware, not a charge for a system they put in place that has now caused them an adminstrative burden (passing their ...

Oh give me a break, don't be so naive the 50% deal was all about making money, I don't see it as a gift as they still made money which they otherwise would not have made, regardless of the error.

I dunno, maybe this support charge is not such a big deal. But I can't think that if it was any other ...

I agree with the point that grievances should be shared here, because in all honesty I think companies take very little notice of complaints aimed directly at them, unless they affect sales.

Public grievances also raise awareness of the problem, to the point where companies are more likely to do ...

BEGIN RANT:
This is totally and utterly not acceptable.

So if I want to upgrade from my ageing Pulsar I I have to pay a fee to transfer my keys, and I will have to pay to sell off any duplicates.

I'm not likely to go out and buy a new card am I? I'll buy a 2nd hand card without the plugins I ...

A normal passive speaker usually consists of a crossover, which has a capacitor, resistor, inductor and usually some form of protection lamp.
I know this to be true for the JBL Control 5's. As I have had to replace lamps and crossovers for them.

In your case you have an active speaker, so it may ...

Drums are not really my thing in music, due to a lack of patience.

So I have been looking at something like the KORG EMX-1 or the earlier EM1.

Because I want to use pre-existing drum beat /synth styles as an inspiration to go into different types of music, and adapt the patterns instead of ...

I wondered how long it would take them to notice, I firstly bought B2003 and then Interpole the 2nd time. At the beginning of the week.

In all honesty I wouldn't have bought Interpole if the bug hadn't have existed, so they got money out of me they wouldn't usually of done on both plugins.

I had a suspicion that was the case, but couldn't say because I don't have a kt400.

After the hassle with earlier VIA chipsets I decided that I would never buy them again.

BTW when I said "the playing field is a lot more level" I was referring to nForce1/2 boards. But even the nForce 1 boards had ...
