Dantes Last Stand - fellow Scopeans report your positions here :

Due to corrupt security guards at quarantine outposts, the redzones have got us pinned down. We are in the eye of the storm but power continues to flow to the XITE. Please fellow Scopeans - report your positions as well. Don't bother to encrypt - the redzoners dont understand anyway. Brooklyn and Da...

Re: New DAW - system bits - FULLY OPERATIONAL BATTLEDAW

Yes, looks great,- and also for me, it might become interesting combining SCOPE XITE and 1 SCOPE PCI (15DSP = Power Pulsar ?) inside the same machine too. Nonetheless I´m a bit sceptical about true bandwidth via PCI slots. Bandwidth for what ? If you pipe the output of the PCI cards running Scope s...

Re: How to use Scope XITE-1D MIDI/Audio with Harrison Mixbus 32C v6

Lol - that was out of the blue. But reminded me to do some research. The new Universal Audio DAW - aka Luna - supports MIDI CC. But unfortunately I ain't getting a Slackintosh anytime soon. I am however working on a cover version of CJ Macintosh's version of 'Sign O The Times'.

Re: Multitrack from DAW to STM 4896

The link below shows how it works for Cubase - so just translate for your DAW - the Scope side will be the same anyway : https://www.scopeusers.com/ScopeRise/issue_01/cubase.htm And the STM guide used to be here but its not there anymore ftp://sonic-core.net/manuals/SCOPE/Manual/english/Chapters/Mix...

Re: Tasty new Ob-Xa Clone

So whats the Syntronik stuff like sonically - eg given its sample based (not circuit based) ?

I'm guessing you'd use it just for the basic flavours of those synths hidden in a mix, and not fiddle around with patch design or much fancy filter/mod fiddely stuff.

Re: New DAW - system bits - FULLY OPERATIONAL BATTLEDAW

Dante, yes same case, really nice find - thanks! Running 44.1khz at the mo, 48 causes all sorts of pops and scrapes with the ADAT between XITE master and Scope slave, not tried 96. 11 Masterverbs is good - I think I got around 8 - 11. But then again I didnt get much more on Xite (which doesnt use P...

Re: New DAW - system bits - FULLY OPERATIONAL BATTLEDAW

For PCI performance maybe. But in a use case like my previous system its largely irrelevant for practical purposes. eg when I used the PCI cards in same system as XITE - I would use PCI Synths then the output from those routed via PS/DIF to XITE. In this use case Masterverb test would be irrelevant ...

Re: New DAW - system bits - FULLY OPERATIONAL BATTLEDAW

WOW ! Looks awesome. So same case ! Dont know why anyone would want to talk you out of rack mount - those PC builders are obviously not musically inclined and maybe never went to a live rock gig in their lifes - even many DJ's have racks these daze. Even an i7 should give the grunt and if you got M2...

Re: Tasty new Ob-Xa Clone

I would refer to the Teenage Engineering stuff maybe as 'Not that Toy crap' now. In the same way I would refer to this IK Multimedia Syntronik as 'Not that Sample Crap' - but hey here it is - on special at $70 bucks if anyone wants a cheap - quick - all in one classic synth solution (including the O...

Re: Tasty new Ob-Xa Clone

Yeah Legend RE rocks. Close to MiniMax but different enough to have both, especially for load balancing purposes. Got the Waldorf, it was worth the price just for one seq preset which I'm gunna use straight away in a Floyadalike track. 048 Solaris DiZ Blows my mind in a lower octave I have so many s...

Re: Tasty new Ob-Xa Clone

Yeah it wouldn't fly outside of our freethink isolation here. The upside of Scope's obscurity allows us a bit of flying under the radar leeway, but the call out is noted nonetheless.

We are older and more tempered than for example the ol' wild west XITED forum days :)

Re: Tasty new Ob-Xa Clone

I’m still wondering what happened to that 15 year old kid at NSMM a few years ago who reverse engineered an OBX with original parts, and added a dual EG on the Filter. Thing sounded EXACTLY like the OBX I had, even better because of a few added tricks. You mean Teenage Engineering ? https://teenage...

Re: Scope Lite Rackmount for Live Guitar

This is what I'm using for reverb - kicks ass - seriously. I just use one knob and I'm there. My Lex 244 now gathers virtual dust - along with all the others.
