I'm currently thinking of the possibilty of opening a recording studio (as a business) rather than my hobby home-studio.

I've been thinking of a configuration that could suit the needs of a pro-studio.

What i wanted to get is a computer with:

- Scope Professional (14 DSP)
- UAD-1 ...

I've had a weird thing going on....

Can't seem to remember if that's the way it supposed to be...

I use ULLI latency of 4 ms..
under cubase sx2 i use ASIO SCOPE which shows me latency of "4.376" or something like this....

is this normal? perhaps something wrong with my luna card?

any exact models recommended?

i've been looking at some of the Thermaltake line... How do i match the power supply & fans?

can anyone recommend any computer case?

well this could possibly be the problem...

it is very recommended for CW card to have its' own irq.

On what slot is the PS installed?

could be somehow the video card got some damage to it as well?

one think i never got to figure out is how do i get bipolar modulation?

i want lets say an enevlope or lfo or whatever to modulate some parameter not necessarily to the (+) positive side... how do i do this?

this is pretty basic stuff... but ...

my sfp project is as follows:

Z-link A -----> ASIO2 DEST
8 channels going from my sampler to SX.

ASIO2 SOURCE ----> LUNA ANALOG OUT
stereo channel goes to my speakers.

no SFP mixer used here.

my system consists only of geforce fx5200 and the creamware luna.

1. what pci slot do u people use your cw card? (if it's the ONLY pci card)

Yes sure!
My sampler is connector (all 8 analog outs) to my a16 ultra inputs 1-8. This goes in to Luna through Z-Link.

I seperate each sound on the sampler to its' own output and can process each sounds individually in SX.

And if you are monitoring through SFP then u lose all power of VST plugins ...

garyb i too looking to get the 865perl, although i've heard good things about the 875pbz...


what is the advantage of the 875 over 865 chipset? I as a rule tend to prefer the "newer" and i also read alot of people's posts on Planetz here that use the 875 without any problems whatsoever..

Been wondering what does your recording project in SFP looks like..

i work with SX2, my recording project looks something like this:

Z-Link Source (8 inputs) -> ASIO2 DEST
ASIO2 SOURCE (Stereo pair) -> LUNA2 ANALOG OUT

no use of the SFP mixer...

How do u guys work? do u run ...

i have no idea where i got them from.. i just found them while browsing my computer.

They were once available to download from CW site.

I'm running SFP 4.0

I found that inside the SFP4.0 install dir, the Scope driver is v1.5.0

While on my computer somewhere i've found Scope 1.5.3 driver?

Which one is preferred? and is this the latest driver?

what are u people using?

Actually my major concern is the motherboard replacement - my system is unusable right now, i'm suspecting this is due to the sis chipset on my motherboard.
