Re: Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO
Great info, thanks. I have a feeling the decrapifier script took care of a lot of the phoning home and spyware antics, I’m pretty sure I disabled all the services which handle updates, although it’s very possible that these are engineered to keep restarting at the most annoying moments :D maybe you ...

Re: Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO
Hi Gary thanks for your input! It’s puzzling to me though, maybe it’s because I installed the Windows 10 decrapifier script which disables a lot of the spyware and stupid stuff like advert-infested search bar etc. I stay totally away from MS account stuff. I just run with local admin account, local ...

Re: Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO
Hey thanks for the reply Valis, I’m assuming the trick is to disable driver signature enforcement as described here?

Seems simple enough if so, at least as a temporary solution ...

Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO
I have a simple-ish (hopefully) question.
If there’s no need to use the wave or ASIO drivers, is it possible to use Scope 5.1 in Windows 10 64-bit? All I would need is the Scope environment with direct use of Scope MIDI i/o and ADAT i/o only within the Scope environment. I don’t need to use ...

Re: WTB Scope cards
Thank you both for the input! I'd be happy to give it a shot once I have the hardware.
Where are you based? I’m likely selling some cards very soon as I’m not using them much these days and I came to the conclusion that someone else should probably have fun with them instead. I’m in the UK and ...

Re: 18 months later with scope as a standalone
I’ve been doing the standalone thing for a long time and it’s great, was using ADAT but have almost finished moving to dedicated conversion instead (just need more ins before I can be happy :D ). I’m lucky enough to have some old apogee cinema converters modded for adat. They have an interesting ...

Re: output-per-voice Poly shell
Very kind of you to offer! But I think I found something which will do the job (XHIP Effects). I will try and do a video once I set this up because it could sound really cool. I like FM-ing the Waldorf oscs against each other (with small amounts of mod), unique sounds there, not sure you can do that ...

Re: output-per-voice Poly shell
I guess next step is to look into some poly note distribution software, i.e. to cycle notes around a few separate patches. All patches would have to be edited separately of course but since I only really need the oscs - 2-4 waldorf/whatever else, maybe some mixing, it would be ok to deal with.
I ...

output-per-voice Poly shell
Hi,
Wondering if anyone made a poly shell with output per voice (say 8 or 16) instead of using Poly->Mono module and mixed output.
Would like to play with hybrid Scope / hardware modular polyphony. Sort of wanting to recreate a Waldorf M with the oscs in scope and hardware filters/envs/vcas
I don ...

Re: Expert sleepers ES-3 and ES-6 light Pipe and scopes Modular?
I have done it (ES3 output only, not ES6 or any other input method) - it works. TBH, I only really used it for audio streaming (Scope oscs, often paraphonc, through hardware filters for example) and sometimes making chaotic LFOs which didn't need to be tempo locked. I always preferred using the ...

Really fun device, definitely my fav synth drum machine on Scope. Roy your devices are incredible - thank you for sharing them. I will be making a donation.

Re: Uhe diva
For software 6-op FM try Dexed, it's really good and even has a 12-bit mode. Works as an editor for a hardware DX7/TX7 too.
Roy's DxCwm is great too for wavetables vs FM.

It's all opinions man, if you want to spend so long angrily typing out rants in voicing yours then go ahead and be my guest. I can't even be bothered to read this kind of thing though.

Re: Scope VS VST's
I could not name even 1 single VST Synth that comes close to what Scope delivers in that domain
There are plenty... Vaz modular, Xils lab stuff, Cypher, Strobe etc. FM and sync behaviour often more realistic and less alias-prone than Scope too. I like Scope, especially for the low latency ...

Re: Drum Synths?
Not really a synth but SDS is very cool - simple wav drum rack but it's useful for layering with synthesis. I really dig it for playing live with drum triggers with no latency. It's very fast to use, I don't really have time to deal with the STS samplers. It's an older device (pre-v3 I think) but it ...
