Re: Ferrofish news and exhibitions
Since I am not a tech guy, I get to ask the potentially "funny" questions. Jürgen, would it be possible to add analog summing into the unit? It has the MIDI connectors. I could see Solo, Mute, Pan and Volume being run from a separate controller - which could be hardware (possible new produ...

Exactly. Why do shops sell a lot of stuff on black Friday and cyber Monday? Well, people have held on to their money for a while and after those days, they have spend their money.

Re: A16Ultra I/O
Thanks Gary I think I've been running my Sherman Filterbank too hot. I'll set the DIP to unbalanced. My crimson EQ 301 is balanced so that's fine. I'm not worried about the unbalanced cable for the Sherman because it's half a foot long. There's no improvement for a pseudo balanced cable is there? T...

Re: stereo to mono
Yes, but no. It will not be summed mono. It will just be left or right. not if you use 2 channels, each panned the same way.... The Channel strip only has one channel. It can be done with i.e. the micro mixer, though. On Xite, the Dynamic Mixer use less resources, though, despite being more advanced.

How have you planned to secure syncronization? Will they be hooked up in series? It will take quite a few optical i/o ports to get it all hooked up othervice.

Re: Please help me get my Supermicro x10sla-f to work
A couple of days ago, I changed the motherboard and the RAM and keeped everything else (for the test, I didn't even make a new windows 8 installation), and now I get 11 masterverbs with an error on number 12. This is much better than what I got from the x10sla-f. Other people have had more luck than...

Only use STDM cables on ALL cards. So if you have a Luna card, you only use one STDM cable - no matter what the other cards are.

Re: Fanless PC for XITE -- build ideas
Hd-plex has some fanless PC cases and fanless PSUs. www.hd-plex.com. You will need a PCI-extension/riser cable. I will not recommend plugging it into a 16x port. The fit need to be very (too) precise for it to work. I tried this, myself. I would recommend you get a 1x PCI express riser cable and use...

Re: 96Khz Master/Slave Sync
ADAT lightpipe does not send any information about the data rate. ADAT 48 kHz and 96 kHz works at the same datarate. That is why you get only half as many channels when working in 96 kHz. You need to tell the receiving device that it should treat the data as 4 channels of 96 kHz. In Scope, you do th...
