Re: Korg Prologue

Heh. Well it looks interesting, and somehow has me thinking of perhaps this instead of the Rev2, which I'm not in a hurry to get but is the next most likely upgrade here on the synth side of things. Same hybrid approach as JDXa but in a more sensible manner (not parallel dig/ana voices but just the ...

Re: USB Controller setup?

If you can't connect to the midi input directly, you will need a loopback adapter. Any controller that lets you edit the controller definitions on the device and has a midi DIN out is suitable for scope. Sad to see devices losing these...

Korg & Roland aren't scared, but everyone else is going to have to stay at the botique & high end once Ulli has all his replicas on the market.

Re: Soundcloud lowers audio quality to half

Yep knew that, and hopefully others do too. Ken, one of the big advantages of opus (and in theory Ogg Vorbis before it) is that it's relatively 'unencumbered'. This idea applies both the BSD license for the software side of the codec ("free as in speech": anyone can modify, extend and utilize the co...

Re: Show your pictures of your beautiful Scope Studio here!

Hi guys, I would like to post some of these images in a flash rotator format (like the top images on this site and this site ). What I really would like is some images of scope with crazy routing or being used in interesting ways. I will be cropping the images to fit this format: 1170x420 pixels, an...

Re: Soundcloud lowers audio quality to half

There is a Soundcloud pricing tier in between the $15 & free now, so that's certainly more flexible than just the $15 tier. But that's comparable to the tier of vimeo I lowered myself to last year, which is $12/mo or I pay $7 a month by paying yearly. This still enables a basic subset of all pro fea...

Re: Soundcloud lowers audio quality to half

Soundcloud's problem is their business model, and so users are starting to react to that. I do think that there's a natural 'competitive' aspect to humans always, and when you're an established player, you'll meet resistance just from that alone. However as both a been 'pro' subscriber and someone t...

If BNC is broken in 7 but works in 5.1, can we identify the relevant files (like has happened with STS etc) and package them up into a zip for all to use? Gary?

Re: Another reason to consider Ryzen ?

If you're running a hypervisor on linux, or any form of 'container' stack... then yes. Up to 50% hit with the linux patch & virtualization is bad bad. For WinXP? hah! Modern MacOS & Windows haven't patched yet, so we'll have to wait & see what the impact is. A more serious concern is the number of l...
