Re: Solaris v5_0 - blue screen of death

How long ago was the power pulsar purchased?

I am amazed and thankful that my scope system has been with me for almost a quarter of a century.

Re: Vocoder vst recommendations

KVR had a waldorf sale recently, AudioPluginDeals regularly has it on sale, and if you amass enough 'credit' from purchasing other sales there it's permanently $49.99 (in USD) https://audioplugin.deals/product/lector-by-waldorf/ And Plugin Boutique has it for $82.00 (USD) https://www.pluginboutique....

Re: Problem with Pusar and Cubase

I use two machines! The Scope PC can be whatever it needs to be. Both my PCI based system and my Xite (PCIe) are running 2015/16 era workstation boards with 4 core Xeon chips, and have zero issues aside from the few documented concerns with Scope 7 on 64bit. The downside is heat, but I have way more...

Re: Solaris v5_0 - blue screen of death

The Solaris works fine, some of his other modules from what red dwarf are included in many presets, and those do not work; same presets that use the sample OSC from creamware.

Otherwise, all versions of the Solaris are working fine here on both my PCI cards and the Xite.

Are you on 64bit Scope? Also pay attention to the file date(s), Scope7 has newer versions of some files.

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

This is more about 64bit addressing with newer portaudio apps & DAWs etc. Xite at the very least could use current support, as it simplifies post sales support and returns. PCI users are expecting something too though, and have already bought an update with the hopes of seeing it soon via suppor...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

Holger has his hands full with life and his theatrical sound business, so having someone who can handle 64bit drivers attend to the issue would move things along.

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

Something that I have suggested elsewhere is to consider Soniccore less like Yamaha or InMusic etc, and more like a boutique offering that has a good solid underpinning. The userbase is smaller and more focused, which is a bonus since you get this place. If you look at the website you can clearly se...

Re: The end of an era

Bitwig is a maintenance subscription model, as is the VJ software Resolume (not a DAW but same "keep the last version" licensing), and of course others fall into this model as well. I find this the least onerous, as we get tired of the constant upgrade paths anyway so you can renew when ne...

Re: Creamware Pulsar 2 2024

This is indeed how I have worked for decades, though I did upgrade my Scope boxes as the older machines degraded much faster than the Scope cards.

Re: is Intel integrated graphics (non F cpu) worth it ?

The IGP also makes a great “feature display”. Back when Nvidia was limited to three accelerated outputs, the fourth would default to something called a feature display, which you could use for simpler tasks like web, browsing, or displaying chat windows, and system monitoring apps. Note that the vid...

Re: Creamware Pulsar 2 2024

You will need to ask a current FLStudio user (there are some here, not sure who at present) how well it works with Scope 7 right now. I would defer to GaryB as well. I haven't seen anyone complain about that combo so I can't comment on that further. Scope7 will get you much further than otherwise, a...
