Re: Suddenly getting PCI Master Overflow

Would it be helpful to anyone if I did a more thorough posting on studio grounding and house grounding?

Re: Scope DSP/Xite in the modern market

I was comparing Scope to any boutique maker within that community, you seem to be wishing for Scope to be something it is not. That's two different things. Having traced the evolution of Scope from Realtime Csound (which I was very interested in in 1996) to the current DSP platform, it's still a uni...

Re: WANTED A BCR2000-like MRC

Why can't it span chapters? S|C devs are notoriously absent this time of year, it's not really a problem with the company so much as other commitments (as stated in the above link) and summer cycles in Germany. August is by far the most challenging time to communicate and then it gets better after.

Re: WANTED A BCR2000-like MRC

What do you mean "program,+add" developer? Plus the 3rd party devs that are still around? It's been a while since this thread was around, but I recall reading it at the time and being unsure what was wanted. A BCR style module that is implented in scope? Or some hardware path to have a BCR...

Scope DSP/Xite in the modern market

Over the years we've had many discussions about Creamware & SonicCore's products and business model. For a community & product that spans over 20 years, this is hardly surprising. However I think the apathy I sometimes percieve towards our tools and their ownership is perhaps somewhat mispla...

Re: Sonic Core Support Contact Question

There are parties in the US that coordinate with germany, and sometimes coordinating between the two can be somewhat asynchronous one might say. I'm sure your purchase is safe and hopefully you'll at least hear from support that things are in progress at some point. :)

Re: Conductive Labs MRCC Midi Routing Control Center

I still use Sounddiver on the machine that houses my Scope cards. Routing midi across multiple machines can cause some sysex dump errors (easily worked around) but otherwise everything works great even to control the synths that it supports.

Very interesting, thanks. The midi filtering means it could potentially replace my MOTU units.

Re: MIDI routing from external device through Scope and OMS to Korg Oasys PCI

That will work indeed. However you can directly wire the input and output in the 'clicks and ports' layer of the environment: default.jpg Just wire either the SUM or the input port in question (better) directly to that multi instrument. Tip, you can hold a modifier key when clicking there and get a ...

Re: MIDI routing from external device through Scope and OMS to Korg Oasys PCI

Can't see the last photo without you setting it to be publicly available ("anyone with link"). For future reference on that front, you can attach images to posts and even set them to be 'inline' when you use the full editor here. That will benefit future user as the photos will stay as lon...

Re: MIDI routing from external device through Scope and OMS to Korg Oasys PCI

You need midi loop back or a sequencer to bridge between the two pieces of hardware.

Glad to hear it! My Steinberg licenses are stuck in time (I'd love to upgrade Wavelab though) so wasn't sure how to field that part of the discussion.

Re: Samplerate and Wave Source

That would be my next response, to walk through the settings one by one. I am curious if you're having to run Cubase with compatibility mode on the Scope 5 PC, and tbh I'm not sure how that affects Soundforge (I am on v14 & v15 Pro versions).

Glad it's all working.

Re: Wavelenght SparC

Find a card with keys if needed at that point you can probably contact support for a key transfer. You'll need the original working card associated with the key to accomplish that.. Gary feel free to correct and/or add to my reply.

Re: Weird bug (general window)

I'm finally rotating computers and devices in here myself. There's such a gap between 10+ year old hardware & software and where Win10 & Mac OS (on M1 onward) are at it's time. Scope is soon going into a win7 box where hopefully it'll last at least another decade, or until I can afford an Xi...

Re: VST pops and clicks

Updater apps don't usually cause issues. USB devices might, depending on what else is attached to USB or sharing an irq (if not sharing they're most likely to impact other USB devices in this era, as long as you're not involving a 3rd party USB chipset). More often than not, what we have is a combin...

Re: Copy protection error Xite-1

The different lengths cause issues because of a phase shift, which sometimes is discussed as a ground difference. IMHO with modern discrete components what you instead have is power events that are the same at the source (whether normal 50/60hz duty cycle waves for AC current—or transient events and...
