Dave Pensado also uses a lot of plugins from a lot of different companies, including Waves.

Re: Cubase 9.5
Since 64 bit processing is off by default, that makes me think it's a CPU hog so I am inspired to build a new very fast computer next year just because of this. Previously, I thought my 5 year old computer was fine.

Re: Cubase 9.5
I didn't like the right side and bottom windows but I figured out how to get rid of them, now I have to figure it out again because it came back. Not happy about that. I use shortcuts and macros for my most frequent actions.

Re: Cubase 9.5
For me personally, this is the best update. The 64 bit floating point option is fantastic. Maybe that's why FLUX sounds so good. Making music shouldn't be this easy.Nestor wrote:It seems to be getting better and better, I have seen the reviews and the capabilities of the new upgrade, and it is really cool.

No, just optical ADAT.

Cubase 9.5
First impression, Installation is still a pain, even if you manage to import your User Profile and default template. The Flux Wavetable synthesizer could possibly be the first good Steinberg synthesizer. It has a brittle digital sound, but I can work with it. It's beautiful. Hardware effects will he...
Re: Wordclock
Okay I got DIGIcheck, thanks! I'm an RME customer.valis wrote: I used 'digicheck' from RME which has a bitscope that will show clocking errors when they occurred, as everything will light red momentarily for your selected channels, when no signal is passing.
Re: Wordclock
So I guess if it doesn't work, it will be obvious.
Re: Wordclock
Thanks guys,
I guess I'll be using 2 devices and put the rest on analog.

Wordclock
Do we really need Wordclock these days? I think I should have this for ADAT audio but I'm still not sold on it.

Re: Waves SSL E Channel Sore D Deal
anything for home use is just something that is branded with a famous brand. it doesn't make the thing useless crap, but it does mean that it's not going to be the same as the real thing, nor will it be close. The question should be, is it good enough? Home recording keeps getting better while stud...

Re: Waves SSL E Channel Sore D Deal
well, you may like the sound of those channel strips, but don't think they're even close to using the real thing. The SSL Alpha Channel is a less expensive piece of hardware. It was created for home DAW use. Not as good as their full consoles yet sounds better than software alone. It's worth the ex...

Re: Hot Hand USB Wireless - Better than a Theremin?
I got just the ring. I should have bought the ring + expression box. You can't buy the expression box separately as far as I can tell and it only adds $29 to the price but then again, it would be cool to have two rings + one expression box. It took pretty much no time to it figure out. Tested it on ...

Re: Eventide H9000
Even their stompboxes sound way better than their software. There will be an H9000R model which costs a couple thousand less but requires a computer (or tablet) to operate. Other than that it's the same thing.
Sold!
Also looking forward to having Dante Audio!
