Re: Modular losing voices.

I believe we went through those when we installed Scope the first time, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Modular losing voices.

with all due respect dude, if you wanna shoot, shoot don't talk :) the system works, and worth the "hassle" you perceive - but if not, and if it doesn't feel organic to you then move on, not everything is for everyone and that's fine :) you writing "yah i think gary mentioned dsp ass...

Re: Modular losing voices.

!! Si ! Che uno grosso problemo !! You get error messages with this project ?! Dsp 2 is in Xite for asio. Don't ask me why asio is not automatically assign to it but if you do so, it will help. Dsp 1 is for hardware i/o, so you can assign them to dsp 1. Those 2 dsp are the only ones I assigned in m...

Re: Modular losing voices.

Ok. I made the test. I loaded 3OscSynth and changed one of the oscillator with the Waldorf one. I made that in the project I'm already working on. I assigned 10 voices to 3OscSynth without any problem or error message. As you can see in the jpg, I already have 3 other modular patches in this projec...

Re: Modular losing voices.

You have to think what do you want Scope allows you to do... Mixing ? Recording ? Sound designing ? Having several synths ready to play ? I use it with a daw and its VST's, I mix in Scope, go to have a listen in my signature ! I'm not a pro at all ! And when I bought my first Creamware card, I didn...

Re: Modular losing voices.

"new" is your default project, just erase everything and click the save as default in settings. not arguing about your performance issues, but to say something doesn't work just because you haven't learned yet how to do it is a bit silly :) You miss the point. There should be no learning ...

Re: Modular losing voices.

:P Yes ! You're right ! "New" in Scope is here to create a new project. But like in Excell, when you click on "new", you get an empty new file (but I'm quiet sure that if users want, they can have an already template file with things in it), Scope open the "new project"...

Re: Modular losing voices.

a completely new project? yes. "new" brings up the template that either you saved, or the template that is first displayed when Scope is installed. You don't see how this is confusing? I can't think of another piece of software that works in this way. "New" may bring up a blank ...

Re: Modular losing voices.

"new" is the project that was saved as "default" in livebar\set\projects. you can just clear everything and start from a blank slate... Oh, I get it. "New" brings up the "Old" project. Makes total sense. :P So, you're saying to get a truly new project one has...

Re: Modular losing voices.

I can't even seem to create a new project. When I select "New" from the file menu I just get the exact same project I have set as my startup project. It is super frustrating.

Modular losing voices.

So, I pulled up a preset patch... I forget which one, but I started modifying it. My goal was to create a ProWaveish type synth but with decent voice count. All was going fine. I had a really cool patch with 8 voice poly using the Waldorf oscillator. But, when I came back to it the next day, I start...

Re: Is it worth to use scope boards with 96khz and kill 50%

Yesterday I did a little experiment to see if my XITE-1 was worth keeping as a sound module on another computer running at 96 khz, though for my test I left it connected to my main computer. I couldn't even get ProWave running at all. All that I had running was a MIDI in, ProWave and an ASIO output...

Re: Problems loosing channels after Rotor SE demo.

If you want the best synths for DSP optimization Prodyssey and Minimax are really good. But I can make large synths in Modular that I think sound remarkable. Made an OBX and a great Odyssey from Assafs Modular class. The modules in Modular IV are optimized so 16 voice synths are easy. I prefer usin...

Re: Problems loosing channels after Rotor SE demo.

Why Sonic Core still has them listed for sale (at a premium price) on their website I really don't know. At this point they really belong in the same category as the Wavelength synths. I really don't agree with you that the Zarg synths are the "flagship" synths for Scope. Prodessey, Minim...

Re: Is it worth to use scope boards with 96khz and kill 50%

You are asking the wrong question. The question should be: How can I combine Native and Scope to run what I need to do at 96Khz ? I run XITE-1D at 96khz and it runs 4 mastering plugins and proWave at 4 voice poly. My 3 DSP cards can then run another synth @96Khz. Everything else is done Native - an...
