Re: 10 bit midi in scope?

Ok I can see this is a not well documented feature of Korg product. I figure there must be any secret config switch to avoid sending cc 63 from minilogue midi out. Anyway this feature seems annoying only with midi learn. Thats because midi learn is based on the last cc received, and minilogue always...

Re: 10 bit midi in scope?

I guess the Minilogue is using midi cc 63 with each cc to add 3 bits of resolution to some parameters, so it has 1024 different values for a knob, instead of 128 or 16300. So a Scope device must read each cc, then read next cc 63 and multiply numbers, range it and assign to desired parameter. Also i...

Re: Status?

Do you know of a very small form factor pc with a pci slot? Can be super old. It only needs to run Windows 10 or xp and scope. Nothing more. I have 3 old pulsars into a HP D330 Microtower. Working headless with XP, adat, midi and ethernet cabling, no problems over the years. Well designed and also ...

Re: Active Sensing filter in Scope ?

Thats ok Dante, you are telling the synth you want the note bended down to the maximum, thats usually 1 semitone (2 for the entire range) by default on most instruments and users can change it to up to 2 octaves or more, curves, stepping and more. This is basic configuration for emulation of any tra...

Re: Active Sensing filter in Scope ?

I dont see anything wrong in your monitored data, it shows standard midi pitch bend data. If you take the wheel to the maximum, then you stop there and before you move back, there is enough time for controller to autosend active sense, thats standard midi. Scope is ordering messages correctly, it no...

Re: Active Sensing filter in Scope ?

I bet problem is with the guitar VST mainly because of polyphony and modulation options of 6 strings instruments are more complex than common keyboard based synths - check this VST and monitor its midi out as you only need midi from controller to VST. Do you have a midifile that causes problems when...

Re: Active Sensing filter in Scope ?

Yes you always have the Midi Filter stock device. It has also a filtered out so you can also use it to separate i.e. pitch bend messages and monitor check for any unwanted messages. It also helps to know when its time to clean your midi controllers...

Re: Alesis Q49 Midi Keyboard - strange behaviour

Yes now im sure its the wheel. Pitch bend wheels tends to get jealous if you dont use them. They always sends 14 bit data wich means 16.384 possible values so they are very sensitive to dust and unuse. Maybe yours its sending 0-1-2-1-0-1-2 all the time, as this is really small error. Try to move it ...

Re: Alesis Q49 Midi Keyboard - strange behaviour

RESET does not include transposition by design. It has dedicated buttons for octave and semitone. Not broken by now!

Anyway, this controller sends only key note numbers, not pitch variations.

Exception made, of course, of the pitch wheel, that sends tuning info by default.

Re: MODULES #Spielraum

Nice midi remote, i'll suggest simple text lines (like your ramp indicator one) between rows, and of course, simple background coloring of each knob panel, and/or caps for easy visual grouping ala Moog Grandmother. Then you have CTRLR for MSWindows app but inside Modular - I prefer this way. but rem...

Re: Alesis Q49 Midi Keyboard - strange behaviour

My guess: not a cable problem, maybe dust on "SELECT" button. Try keys BUT do not use the three keys labeled as "TRANSPOSE". You won't have the pitch change problem but maybe missing notes. Reason is that if SELECT button gets pressed then you are sending other MIDI commands inst...

Re: ADA8200

Scope does real dsp and real midi, but im afraid it cant do real voltage measured in volts (bad, bad Scope), only emulate CV by converting voltage values to audio or midi data, then decode data and use it. So as you can not hear (with ears) any digital sound if its not converted to analog, you can n...

I am really loving the creation process with RC. It's a tool that allows me to explore and express myself while having lots of fun doing it. So far I am surprised and delighted with this piece which is a work in progress. https://tigerboytom.bandcamp.com/track/baroque-piano-cello-work-in-progress :...
