On the SFP 3.1c update page, theres a note saying: "IMPORTANT: The version SFP 3.1a, SFP 3.1b or SFP v3.1c - RCx must already be installed."

I dont want more asio channels.
Experiancing strange monitoring problems working only with that 1 channel.
Sometimes audio is just gone.
That happens randomly, but I noticed it also happens every time I "enable" that weird empty vst input on the cubase vst inputs panel.

I wire the Luna (2.6) Analog Source to ASIO 24 BIT Dest that has only 1L,1R
In Cubase (5.1), open the VST Inputs panel, On the left I have:
In 1/2 Pulsar 24-Bit and on the right: IN 1 L/R. led is on.
Than another two extra lines with nothing on the left (Asio) side.

I use 98lite (micro) for more than a year now. it too some time but I now have zero problems and the fastest OS available current version is 4.5
you can apply all the tweaks from the optimisation threads around here with no problems.
there are few more things that you have to do in order to get ...

the general idea is to make a bootable image from your system partition and use a script to boot...
of course 1 will need roughly 3gb of ram for this, but things would be different if you think 98lite micro weights about 70mb..
imagine this...running win98lite micro from the ram.....this must be ...

Havnt tried it (not enough ram). Im sure its possible though, this small article describes how to do it with smaller applications...

With enough RAM on the machine.....one can install windows on the ramdisk and that is U-N-R-E-A-L!!!

Anything that tests the pci bandwidth/throughput specificaly?

all it takes is a BIOS update,
that 1 should b flashed BEFORE you attempt to boot with the XP cpu.
No update - no boot (!)
so:
download bios update file
boot with athlon
update
replace athlon with athlon xp

using 8KHA+, installed XP in ACPI mode,
I could still control the IRQ'S assignments from the BIOS.

The strangest things happens with cubase 5.1 on my computer also.
4 xample, 16(8) channels r sent from STS 2 ASIO, but VST INPUTS panel shows 18(9)!!!
16(8) of them r named "InX L,R pulsar 16-bit"
and d *other* 1 is *blank*...
Activating that 1, causes Cubase 2 Looose Asio Scope driver and Leaves ...

Just a thaught,
How about restarting into command prompt,
(f8 pressed during startup)
than in C: type "scanreg.exe"
than "view backups", choose a backup you want to restore and - restore.

I want to use 1gig of Ram on my A7M.
I don't want to upgrade to Win2k/xp at the moment mainly because creamware drivers only works at 16bit but also because my 98lite works very well.
